Summer with BERYENI @beryeni__ in a Kominka.

The first time I saw her handmade pieces, I felt an instant familiarity—they fit so beautifully with the colours of a Japanese summer.

You never know where meeting an artist will take a conversation. We ended up at a picnic table outside a café in Victoria Park, Komorebi (dappled light) on the grass, talking about Japan like we’d known each other for years.
