What an unforgettable evening watching my incredible friend @pilanibubu perform at Hugh’s Jazz Club.

I knew she would be brilliant—but nothing prepared me for this. It was soulful, spiritual, powerful and wonderfully entertaining. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything quite like it. Pilani, you held that entire room in the palm of your hand. An extraordinary talent, an absolute force—and every inch a queen. 👑

And Hugh’s! What an unexpected jewel in the heart of Braamfontein—an utterly spectacular venue with the most incredible atmosphere and views across Joburg.

Thank you, Pilani, for a truly magical evening. You completely blew us away. ✨

THE SCARAB — A SYMBOL OF REBIRTH ✨

Introducing one of my newest pieces — a magnificent carved lapis lazuli scarab, set in gold vermeil and suspended from a beautifully handcrafted link chain.

In ancient Egypt, the scarab was one of the most powerful symbols of renewal, transformation and rebirth — a reminder that life is always moving, evolving and beginning again.

Perhaps that’s why this ancient symbol still feels so relevant today.

The extraordinary cobalt blue of the lapis makes every scarab completely individual, while the handmade gold vermeil chain gives the piece a modern, timeless edge.

Also available to order in 9ct solid gold.

A piece with history.
A piece with meaning.
And a little talisman for whatever comes next. ✨

Absolutely — and because this is a proper shopping experience/show, rather than just a jewellery sale, I’d make it feel glamorous and social. Also, it’s Steyn City, not Stanton City — the artwork confirms it. 😊

Here’s the caption I’d use:

✨ WE’RE ON SHOW AT STEYN CITY! ✨

I’m delighted to be bringing Beryl Dingemans Jewellery to the fabulous Steyn City Pop Up — The Art of Living Shopping Experience, happening 11–13 September at the City Centre.

Think beautiful shopping, incredible vendors, fabulous food and drinks, a gin bar — and Thursday evening is late-night shopping with a fantastic cocktail party. 🥂✨

And I have FOUR COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS for Thursday available for some of my lovely, loyal clients. If you’d like one, DM me as soon as possible — first come, first served. 💛

Come say hello, try on some beautiful jewellery and make an occasion of it. I cannot wait to see you there!

You can grieve someone who is still alive.

Sometimes what we’re grieving isn’t the person themselves, but the relationship we hoped we would have with them.

The version we kept waiting for.
The closeness we thought might still come.
The relationship that never quite became what we needed it to be.

And perhaps recognising that is part of learning how to let go. 🤍 Watch the full story on YouTube — link in bio & Stories. ⬆️

Zanzibar, you were food for the soul. 🌴🤍

There was something about this beautiful island that went far beyond the turquoise water, endless swims, snorkelling, sunshine and, of course, a few very good piña coladas. 🍹

It was the simplicity of life that stayed with me. Being outside. Being in the ocean. Slowing down. Learning a little Swahili. And most of all, meeting people whose kindness, warmth and generosity of spirit were genuinely humbling.

Sometimes travelling reminds you how little you actually need to feel completely alive.

Sun on your skin. Salt in your hair. Bare feet. Beautiful water. Laughter. Good food. Kind people. And time simply to be.

Tanzania was incredible, but Zanzibar found a very special place in my heart. I came home feeling grateful, grounded and very, very full. ❤️

Asante sana, Zanzibar. 🇹🇿
We will be back.

Dar es Salaam, you were an absolute treat 🇹🇿✨

A weekend filled with old friends, incredible food and those wonderfully spontaneous moments that make a trip unforgettable.

Wandering through the fish market and gem shops, bringing home the freshest crayfish and giant prawns and cooking up a feast, then being completely spoilt with the most incredible sushi made for us at home by our own sushi chef. 🦞🍤🍣

Days on the water, water sports, an island escape, sunshine, laughter, long conversations and lots of catching up with friends we don’t get to see nearly enough.

Sometimes the best weekends aren’t about ticking things off a list. They’re simply about good friends, fabulous food, new experiences and being completely present in the moment.

Thank you family Bax! 🤗 What a wonderful few days in Dar. ❤️🇹🇿

Good friends, good food, good life. ❤️

Celebrating Women’s Day weekend with our wonderful friends Tumi and Keith, at our little neighbourhood gem, Embark — the most unassuming spot just down the road, serving some of the most outstanding food. Who knew we had something this special right on our high street?

Long lunches, lots of laughter, fabulous food and the very best company. Sometimes the perfect day really is this simple. 🥂✨

Feeling very grateful for good friends, good times and these little pockets of joy close to home.

What a perfect and full Women’s Day weekend. ❤️
