📍 Best Bread Boba | Van Baerlestraat 112, Amsterdam 🇯🇵🍞

This Sunday I went to this Japanese bakery, known for its ultra-fluffy shokupan, made with Hokkaido wheat flour imported from Japan. And now I understand why everyone is talking about it.

The matcha deserves a special mention too: rich, earthy and beautifully balanced, with just the right amount of bitterness to complement the soft, slightly sweet bread. 🍵

The best part? Matcha is naturally rich in antioxidants, especially catechins, which help protect your cells from oxidative stress. It also contains L-theanine, an amino acid that can support a calm, focused feeling. So this delicious bread is not only a treat, but can also be a mindful choice. ✨

Happy days!✨. #matcha #hotspot #amsterdam #japan #bakery

🍵 Amsterdam Matcha Diaries | Best Bread Boba 🇳🇱🇯🇵

Another little taste of Japan found in Amsterdam!
🍵✨

I stopped by Best Bread Boba, a Japanese-inspired bakery near Museumplein specialising in Shokupan — the incredibly soft and fluffy Japanese milk bread.
🇯🇵🍞

Of course, I had to try something matcha-related, so I went for:

🌿 Jasmine Matcha 8/10
A combination I was really curious to try — bringing together matcha and the floral notes of jasmine. 🍵🌸

🍵🍞 Matcha Shokupan Cube 8/10
Their signature Japanese-style Shokupan in a cute cube shape with a matcha twist. Their Shokupan is freshly made in Amsterdam using Hokkaido wheat flour imported from Japan, which makes this such a fun Japanese-inspired find in the middle of Amsterdam. 🇯🇵✨

Another spot that proves I somehow manage to find Japan everywhere I travel… maybe Japan really is calling me. 👀🇯🇵✈️
