Leadership looks different when you see it up close.
ㅤ
This week, OBU’s Presidential Leadership Class visited Bethany Children’s Health Center for an evening on leadership, faith and service. They toured the health center and heard from CEO Nico Gomez and from Albert and Carol Gray, authors of A Legacy of Hope.
ㅤ
In 1977, the Grays took over a struggling convalescent facility on the brink of closure. Over the next 45 years, their commitment to excellence, innovation and compassionate care helped shape it into one of the nation’s premier pediatric rehabilitation hospitals.
ㅤ
OBU and Bethany Children’s share a foundation in Christian faith and service. OBU equips students to pursue academic excellence and live worthy of their calling in Christ. Bethany Children’s puts those same convictions to work through care for children and families. For our students, the evening showed how a calling, answered faithfully, can change an organization and the lives of the children it serves. 🦬
ㅤ
Thank you to Bethany Children’s for hosting us.

Sometimes the right support makes all the difference. 🥹❤️

Another OT session with Miss Ashley, and we loved seeing how engaged Isa was today!

With Miss Ashley's assistant helping support her head and posture, Isa was able to focus more of her energy on activating toys and interacting with what was in front of her. ❤️

It's amazing how changing the support around her can create more opportunities for her to participate.

And today came something NEW… astronaut training! 🚀👩‍🚀

This activity is designed to work on visual tracking, body awareness, and helping Isa better understand where her body is in space.

We're excited to see how she responds as she continues practicing!

Progress isn't always about doing something independently. Sometimes it's about finding the right support so a child can show us what they're capable of. ❤️

One little astronaut, one more step forward.
