Update on today's antisemitc incident at the Dollarama store in Montreal

OCTOBER 10, 2026

This afternoon I made a post about a childhood classmate of mine who was at the Dollarama store and the cashier saw her and her daughter wearing a magen david and told them that he would not pack her bags because she's Jewish and that jews were not welcome there.

So I decided to take matters into my own hands and drove to the store to confront the cashier only to find out that he had already left.  So I asked for the manager and started to film our conversation.

I decided it was in everyone's best interest to delete the video that I posted.  I've been told that the incident is being handled

However, despite several witnesses to the incident, the employee and the store are denying that it happened.

If you are a Jewish Montrealer and you have shopped at the Dollarama store on St. Jean and Roger Pilon in Dollard des Ormeaux please beware!!

We hope that the Rossy family will make a public apology to her and her daughter and to the whole Montreal Jewish community.

And if you are someone who hates Jewish people, do yourself a big favor and don't work with the public.  Especially in a neighborhood with a large Jewish population.  Dollarama has now lost many Jewish customers, possibly thousands because of this hateful kid.

These might be my new favourite cookies. Soft orange-scented dough rolled with sweet date spread, pistachios and orange zest, then finished with confectioners’ sugar. They look fancy but are actually so easy to make.

Six years ago, I pressed “post.”

Friday night at the Kotel, a stranger reminded me that our words can keep traveling long after we’ve forgotten we said them. ❤️

Has something someone said ever stayed with you for years? Tell me below. 👇
