Well that was unexpected!

Tonight I went to see my gorgeous friend @ros.watt ‘s award winning, sell out show “Trans People Are Awful” at @camdenpeoplestheatre and got to the theatre ridiculously early. There was a last minute emergency, so I said to my friends @barnsleyjean and producer @bethsitek “if you need any help I’m here”. Then 5 minutes later Ros came out and asked me if I would tech the show, which of course I agreed to do!

Thanks to my tech mentor @josieshipp and @futureformed_wf for giving me the training and the moral of the story is, have a friend who is a performer, and incredibly anxious producer who has learnt how to do all of the behind the scenes roles in theatre, JUST INCASE!

Also thanks to @itsgivingdylan for getting the video and not being annoyed at me for bailing on our catch up to quickly learn the show!

Edinburgh 26 AKA Nativity Maxxing

A phrase I would say in my show is how I am always looking for the joy the want and the unknown and I would say that pretty much is the Edinburgh fringe.

Absolutely loved sharing my show with lots of amazing, playful, joyful audiences. Doing a show every day teaches you so much and I think I’ve learnt and grown in so many ways over the month.

Huge thanks to so many people:

@martinvwillis for being my director- never judging my mad ideas and always pulling me back from the brink.

@flicks_a_switch my AMAZING tech. Literal blood sweat and tears and seeing her every day was the highlight of my fringe.

@laurasusanatapia producer guru I think she should be probably be president.

@hootsfringe thanks so much for having me and the amazing staff who helped and the hellish room (pictured) where I kept my stuff.

@rubyvroomvroom @kat.higginscomedy @aalexmandeldallal @mazflaz my venue mates so much talent and light in the hoots walls.

The fringe felt both incredibly long and like it’s just begun so we better all get planning for next year.
