Hello Crafty Friends and welcome to the CASE It Instagram Hop!! We are a group of online crafty friends who will be playing with the idea of Copy and Share Everything each month.

What does it mean? It means that each of us will find a project on Instagram that inspires us and we will share that project as well as the project we’ve created that was inspired by that original. We aren’t here to perfectly copy someone else’s creation. Rather, we want to show how we can be inspired to make something of our own from something someone else made.

I was inspired by @betsy3spoke

I loved how Betsy used the embossed words as a subtle background on her card, it allows the flower to shine.

I followed the layout of Betsy’s card but tweaked it a bit for the beautiful colors that make up Sunflowers and Black-eyed Susans.

It’s hard to explain just how amazing @concordand9th Summer Camp is, and it’s taken me days to put this experience in perspective. 🏕️

From teaching with a gorgeous bundle of C9-exclusive products to creating alongside an all-star team of amazing people like @jennifermcguireink , @starofmay , @czdesign , @laurafadora , @mrjefflindberg , and @carissawiley ; hanging out with the amazing C9 team (@linds047 , I’m talking about you, Nick, Jana, and Robyn!) joining up with friends @betsy3spoke and @skypaperscissors ; laughing & crying during evening camp fires; dinners, Swig & Starbucks runs; talking shop and life; swapping color schemes and ideas; napping, and just generally enjoying the people around you—that’s what made this weekend so special!

Life has been especially hard lately, and this event was just what I needed to get my mojo back. 💗

Thanks to all of the attendees for your kind words and participation this weekend! Go team Sunflower! 🌻

Thanks to my fellow instructors for making me feel loved and included! 💗

“You are beautiful inside and out.” 🥰

That’s what I want the recipient to feel when they open this card, but getting to this final design wasn’t easy!

I tried so many color combos for these florals from the new Peaceful Petals set by @ginakdesigns... and none of them felt right. I almost gave up and felt bad about “wasting” those pieces.

Then I saw @betsy3spoke’s beautiful card—the bold orange florals against a deep blue background—and it just clicked. That was the moment everything started to come together.

The challenge didn’t stop there, though. I wanted the inside to mirror the front, and it took multiple attempts (and fails 😭) before I figured it out. The Grip Mat ended up being a total game-changer for this technique—so the inside reflects the same beauty as the outside.

I’m so glad I pushed through the “ugly duckling” phase of this card. Did the blue and orange combo work? Let me know! 💙🧡

I love a card that isn’t quite as it first appears. I used the inlay die as the front panel, backed with two blocks of color so just a strip is left open to the inside. (Which leaves plenty of room to write a message.) The two floral corners (one of the stamps, cut to create both) both help direct attention to the center of the card where the open frame and sentiment are. (Swipe to see the side view where it shows more.)

I have a flat card that I made with it, and was going to make this one a pop-up, but then decided to go all in and make it 3D. Why not? (Of course, this would have to be hand delivered or mailed in a small box, but will definitely be a hit with whoever gets it, I’m sure.)Swipe through to see some of my process photos of how I made it 3D.

I rotated my colored cardstock 90 degrees for each of the three colors I stamped with the pinwheel to create an extra fun pattern. I colored in the party hat with coordinating colors.

💖 Craft Retreat Photo Dump 💖

About a month ago, I was surrounded by some of the most amazing friends in Cincinnati, OH. Seeing these photos brings me so much joy—I just had to share them, even if I’m a little late. 😅

We meet twice a year, and I had missed the last retreat due to COVID, so this one felt extra special. This time, I also got to celebrate my U.S. citizenship with them—a moment I’ll cherish forever. A huge thank you to my sweet friend @tinaschrof for setting up the cakes, banners, and all the thoughtful details that made the day even more unforgettable. 🇺🇸

Fun fact: I don’t think there’s ever been a retreat where I didn’t cry—haha! All the inspiring stories, shared wisdom, and big hugs from my friends always bring me to tears (in the best way!). 🥹

I’ll be forever grateful to @jennifermcguireink for inviting me to my first retreat back in April 2017 and introducing me to this incredible group of women who’ve become my chosen family. Even though my family isn’t here in the States, I’ve never felt alone—because these beautiful souls fill that space with so much love. 🥰

I’ve learned so much from my friends who continue to inspire me with their kindness, generosity, and strength—not just through their words but through the way they live.

Their constant support and encouragement have helped me grow into a stronger, better version of myself every single day. Forever grateful for their love, laughter, and friendship through all my ups and downs. 💛 #ChosenFamily #ForeverGrateful

A study in design… 🌿🌿🌿 Subtle tone-on-tone ink blending using the Under Water stencil for the background, Basil Leaves and Rose Branch die cuts in vibrant shades of green going off the card for movement and energy, and Showboat Hello in white nestled where the leaves are not. A masterful card to emulate! AWESOME card, Betsy!
