From the moment I became a breathwork facilitator, I dreamed of bringing live music and real instruments into the sacred ceremony of breathing, healing, and transformation.

Over the past several months, two incredible musicians—both members of The Hero Journey—and I have come together and practiced diligently to create a powerful, authentic live-music breathwork experience.

Last night, on the Fall Equinox, that dream became a reality.

With a full house, we facilitated our first complete ceremony. Joy, pain, passion, vulnerability, and authenticity were expressed as we honored the sacred balance between light and darkness—not only in the world around us, but within ourselves.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who trusted us and shared this unforgettable experience.

We are also excited to announce that we will be offering another live breathwork and music ceremony for the Auburn community in celebration of the Winter Solstice on Sunday, December 20.

Stay tuned for more information. We look forward to sharing this gift with you again soon.

With gratitude🙏🏽

Two months before Charlie Griswold died, he told his mother, “When I die, you will tell my story.”

Betsy Murphy kept that promise.

Her documentary, BODIES OF WATER, has been named the winner of the Spring 2026 Roy W. Dean Grant. The film follows Betsy to India as she carries Charlie’s ashes to the sacred Ganges River and discovers connections between grief, healing, water, and the lives we must protect.

Betsy will receive $3,500 and donated filmmaking services to help bring this deeply personal story to audiences.

Congratulations, Betsy! We’re honored to help you tell Charlie’s story.

When in Paris, enjoy a picnic with @myparistay. Escape the hustle-bustle cityscape for a languid afternoon at @boisdeboulogne_officiel . In 2022, @betsybmurphy surprised our writing retreat group with a beautiful picnic under the Eiffel Tower. We reveled in rich cheeses, baguette, quiche, salad, melon, pastries, and, of course, chilled Provence rosé. Every. Last. Drop. Since then, I’ve made it a ritual to picnic at least once, while in Paris. Patricia curates a delightful spread, including blanket, basket, plates, and glasses—even a darling fan to subdue the heat. While traveling, it’s important to take time to slow down and savor the sweetness.

And you don’t have to go to Paris to enjoy such decadence. For our fifth anniversary, I created a similar picnic in Meadow Park in San Luis Obispo. Lucy was with us. It was exquisite.💞🐾☺️🥂 @athloncoaching

Some evenings are more than just an event… they’re a gift to the soul. ❤️

Last night, so many incredible women & men gathered at AH Collection to sip, shop, hug, laugh, cry, and be inspired.

Watching Jenifer sign & sell every single one of her books was amazing, but what moved me most wasn’t the book signing… it was the healing taking place all around the room.

Two mothers. Two unimaginable losses. Two hearts choosing faith over despair.

Jennifer shared how writing became part of her healing journey after losing her son. Her words were born from pain, but they’ve become a source of hope for so many others. It was impossible to leave unchanged.

One of my favorite moments came from our dear friend Betsy, who lost her dear son Charlie two months after Jenifer lost her James, who reminded us that hugs should last at least 20 seconds because that’s medicine. 🤍

I don’t think I’ll ever hear the word “hug” the same way again.

And that’s exactly what last night was… medicine.

Medicine for hurting hearts.
Medicine for weary souls.
Medicine that came through stories, tears, laughter, prayer, friendship, and the simple reminder that none of us are meant to walk through life’s hardest moments alone.

Thank you to everyone who came, loved on Jenifer and Betsy, supported this special evening, and reminded us all that hope is still alive.

✨ I’d love to hear from you…
Has someone ever shared their story at just the right time and helped you through a difficult season? Or has a simple hug ever meant more than words? Share your story below. ❤️
