A little BTS from my client @angelotndongmo’s “Between Classes” book trailer video shoot 🎥.

I envisioned having a black background for the model/actors to give it a more dramatic feel, and thanks to my business bestie @haleycobran 🫶🏾 I was able to use her black backdrop, but I also needed a stand tall enough for it, and that’s where @vistek came in handy (amazing customer service by the way ✨!).

The shoot took place at @shvrkstudio and was broken into two parts to accommodate everyone’s schedules. The finished results? Chef’s kiss 🤌🏾.

BTS (begins-the-scenes) shot by @rovonnrussell 🎥.

There I was, stuck at the mechanics with none other than THE @holness_nicole 🔥 I finally got to meet her and purchase a copy of her new release titled
“The Pause Before the Leap”
It’s so important to support creativity and I cannot wait to dive in to explore this inspirational book.

*Non-Union Casting Call*

We’re working with award-winning author, @angelotndongmo to cast Malik for the newly released Between Classes Vertical Series based on her new young adult novel, “Between Classes.”

To help bring the character to life, we’re looking to cast a non-union male actor between the ages of 18-25 years old.

In the book, “Between Classes,” Malik’s character is described as “a tall, thick, fair-skinned brother with curly hair [who] started to spit rap lyrics with outstretched hands.”

If you are a non-union actor, and have what it takes to play, Central Vaughan Collegiate’s bad boy with rap skills to try and steal Amina’s heart, DM us “MALIK” and we’ll send you the audition registration link.

The current round of virtual auditions are open until Friday, September 11, 2026.

And remember, we are bringing a book character to life so the description is very specific — but not to worry, with the continued support of Angelot’s fans, more roles will be casted in the near future 🙌🏾!
