POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Part ONE:

Since we’re talking about the 80’s, let’s talk about @teacha_krsone and #boogiedownproductions.

Yall remember when HipHop was educational, nonviolent, had a conscience and WAS political? Back in 1987, DJ Scott La Rock (the other original member of BDP) lost his life to gun violence when he tried to stop a fight. That motivated KRS ONE’S message to transition into social consciousness giving him the label “The Teacher”.

Til this day, he’s continuing his mission and it’s needed now more than ever before!

Salute to the pioneers.

This weekend I did a 48 hours water fast and made art.

I scrolled less.
I consumed less.
I worried less.

This piece has a deeper meaning that I’ll keep between me and God… but just know that it was created in the “dark”… not literally but hypothetically.

It was a $9 thrift store find. Now it’s priceless.

Good ideas + execution = 🔥🔥🔥

Shout out to @mykestallone for the challenge! I did my BIG ONE with this!!

Im open to accepting commissions but:
1. I am not cheap.
2. I won’t say yes to everything.
3. Everything I do will be one of one.

I had these old goals laying around and figured I would make art for them…

LOVE THE COLORS! Perfect since it’s a Kobe quote.

I want to make more of these but, I gotta figure out the proper way to mount them on the wall 😂😂

How did I do for my first try?

The first 10 years of this journey was customizing clothing.
The second 10 years was spent focusing on graphic design.
The next 10 will be combining all of talents and seeing what happens…

Cheers to being an artist of many forms ✨

Decided to keep it simple this time….

I LOVE flipping thrifted items. I found this table for $7 and decided to make it look cool for @karinachanelle bedroom. I kinda ran out of resin but I did my best with what I had lol

How did I do?

My daughter asked for mirror art… She brought the mirrors, I picked the messages and gave her mirror art ✨

Maybe I should come out of retirement and reintroduce the world to Becky The Great….

Fun fact, I got my first airbrush gun in elementary school (80’s), then in middle school I drew on jeans with sharpies for .25, then at 20 years old, I picked up the airbrush gun again and SNAPPED…. The rest was history.

Sidenote: I originally created a reel with the process but META kept muting it… so here are pictures. lol

The original idea was to just create Left Eye, but there’s always an inner voice saying, “Nah B, we can go bigger…” so that’s what I did.

I brainstormed what other 3 women inspired me….

Left Eye: creative and very intuitive
Lauryn Hill: AUTHENTIC and versatile
Lil Kim: Feminine energy and money maker
Queen Latifah: BOSS energy, demands respect

These women were in their early 20’s when they made these songs that will forever live on. My goal is never to create “trendy” but “INTENTIONAL.”

I’m working on figuring out how to monetize from my art without selling my soul…
