We see you, we love you, we celebrate you 🏳️‍⚧️

Trans Day of Visibility – or sometimes relabelled Trans Day of Action – began in 2009 as a way to celebrate positive representations of trans people and their achievements. It’s not just about being seen, it’s about recognition, support, and action.

With the current state of the world, and the increased threats toward the trans community, uplifting the voices and experiences of all trans people is more important than ever.

We stand in solidarity and support with all trans people in our communities and commit to listening, learning and continually improving our resources so they are inclusive and relevant for everyone.

Trans visibility isn't just for one day— it's about breaking down barriers, celebrating trans joy and honouring trans people in all their diversity everyday.

SOLD OUT!! Limited tickets on the door, get in early!

In a world where hatred towards trans people is growing every day, the idea trans day of visibility is no longer appropriate. Indead, the day of Trans Day of Vengeance has arisen.
Join the Northern Subs Sharps at Cafe Gummo on the 29th of March to celebrate trans musicians and raise funds for Beyond Bricks and Bars, BlaQ and the Incarcerated Trans and Gender Diverse Community Fund.
We have an awesome line up, featuring Reggae, Rocksteady and Oi spinning from 6.30 from Bovver Beats, then from 8.30 you can enjoy live music from sappy acoustic sweethearts Sad Bitch Hours, local folk punk icon The Crop Tops, loud queer punk from Hetslayer, post punk realness from LXRP, and bringing it home with just the most phenomenal beats is hip-hop artist RaceRage.

Tickets are $15 (I believe $16.75 including booking fee) through Humanitix, link in bio - and if we have capacity, $20 on the door (it will be cash only!). Tickets are half sold out, so get on it fast if you don't want to miss out!

Beyond Bricks and Bars - decarceration org, supports trans people within the prison system and when they exit
Incarcerated trans and gender diverse community fund - provides material and financial support to trans people in the prison system
BlaQ - Aboriginal LGBTQ+BS service, does training programs, research and various other services

See you on the 29th!
