A week ago today Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya met with his lawyer and said the words that have millions around the world rallying in his name. Though he could barely speak, was unrecognizable due to being beaten by a hammer all over his body and was falling in and out of consciousness, he managed to utter these words to his lawyer; “This is the last time you will see me...They brought me here to kill me. I don’t see myself surviving. This is the end.”

Dr. Abu Safiya is a pediatrician and a neonatologist. He was the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital when it fell under seige. The last image of him as a free man has been seen by the entire world, walking away from the camera, the hospital and his colleagues through piles of rubbles and towards the tanks that would take him away. Since then he has endured unimaginable torture and still has zero charges against him.

Join us and so many others in demanding our politicians and institutions speak up and pressure the occupation to Free Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya!!
