Really grateful for this time away. ☀️

I'm going to be honest: I've been building @bfmedialounge in what has sometimes felt like one long breath.

And yes, I've achieved quite a lot. But it's also been overwhelming at times. There hasn't always been much room to, well… breathe!

Since July, I've been experimenting with doing things differently: can I build something hugely ambitious while actually enjoying my life?

I started BF Media Lounge later in life, and the traditional hustle-at-all-costs approach to building a company doesn't appeal to me at all.

For me, it has to be success AND joy.

The working title for this experiment is Hugely Ambitious — and Happy, because I'm not interested in one without the other.

We're often told that's not how entrepreneurship works. Well, let's see! 😅

Anyway, here's a picture of me a few days ago, enjoying my life while BF Media Lounge continued moving forward without me having to hold everything in my head. ☺️☀️

Anne-Cécile Ville, author of the self-help book “Reboot Your Story,” sits down with the @truebookaholic Podcast to explore the journey behind the book and what inspired her to write it. Drawing from her experience with perimenopausal anxiety, she shares why it’s so important for women to slow down, cultivate self-awareness, and reconnect with self-trust, clarity, and joy, rather than constantly feeling like they need to “fix” themselves. I’m excited to announce I launched a new podcast on Substack, The Inner Yes, where I’ll be talking to real women in midlife who have bet on themselves, are driving change, and embodying conscious leadership. The latest episode features a woman who took a big leap to create something that has not existed in the past: @annececileville, Founder & Creative Director, @bfmedialounge & author of Reboot Your Story. Her mission is rooted in reclaiming and rewriting the narratives of women, especially in midlife.

She’s focused on the idea of positive media consumption and how it shifts our mindset and the way we show up for ourselves, our work, and our community. According to Anne-Cecile’s book, 65% of the content we consume is negative, Anne-Cécile’s work is rooted in neuroscience and changing the way women view themselves in the world.

I’m loving her book, Reboot Your Story, which offers 6 key elements to help you reshape your narrative and rewire your brain. ***link to listen in bio & stories

Happy World PR Day! 🖤

Woke Media founder Jess Poulin sits down with Stylists Suite’s Darralynn Hutson to discuss the rewards of building lasting client relationships, sharing how supporting clients for 5+ years and guiding them through major career milestones has become one of the most fulfilling aspects of her work.

Opening up about the realities of entrepreneurship, including navigating imposter syndrome, building confidence as a founder, and learning to find genuine value and validation in the impact of her work, Poulin shows that when you build a business with intention you never have to work a day in your life.

And that’s a wrap on another season of High On Feminism!

One of the best parts of this season? Getting to spend it in a new city with the incredible women we met along the way. From first intros to full-circle conversations, this season really captured it all.

Huge thank you to @junohouseclub Co-Founder and Founder, Liana Grieg and Natalie Batlle for opening & closing out the season, and for opening doors to this beautiful global community of women entrepreneurs and go-getters 🌍

Thank you to all of our guests who are tagged in the video - make sure to check them out and give a follow! Maybe you’ll find a service, piece of advice, or spark of inspiration you didn’t realize you were looking for.

See you next season! 👀🤗

PS shout out to @brooklynpodcasting for making sure all of the episodes are still neat and polished all the way from Brooklyn 🖤

The Penis Conundrum is a sharp, surreal feminist comedy that turns shame on its head and invites laughing and thinking in equal measure. It follows Laura, a poised professional whose world hilariously unravels after a bizarre encounter that reveals how deeply society still polices women’s desires and voices — at work, in love, and in life.

BF Media Lounge is in pre-production and raising $10,000 through their crowdfunding campaign to bring this bold story to the screen, with fair pay for our cast and crew and the creative freedom this film deserves. Your support will help us challenge outdated narratives, spark real conversations about intimacy and shame, and uplift women’s voices through humour and heart.

Donate. Share. Talk about it! Stories like this that make us laugh are the ones that change culture. Be a part of the change!

Menopause has a way of cracking us open.
Not to break us, but to invite us to tell a truer story.

In the latest episode of the Self Love Podcast, I sit down with @annececileville , founder of @bfmedialounge and author of Reboot Your Story, for an honest conversation about perimenopause, menopause, and rewriting the narratives we have been carrying for years.

We talk about identity shifts, anxiety, hormonal changes, and the quiet moments where you realize something inside you is changing and you are not sure who you are becoming yet.

Anne Cécile shares how mindset, neuroscience, and self advocacy can turn this season of life into an opportunity for healing, confidence, and reinvention rather than fear or frustration.

This episode is for the woman who feels like she is standing at the edge of a new chapter and knows she cannot go back, but is still learning how to move forward.
