some pretty big life news!!

after a lot of thinking, overthinking, and a lot of my husband convincing me I could actually do this, I am officially no longer a corporate baddie, and I’m working for me!! and all of you!!!!!!

I’ve spent the last year balancing work, weddings, sessions, editing, and pretty much every free second going toward photography. I never imagined something I started just because I loved it would turn into something I could actually make a career out of, but here we are!

I’m nervous, but mostly just really excited to finally give this business all of my time and see where it takes me.

to everyone who’s booked with me, recommended me, shared my work, or trusted me with some of your favorite memories, thank you. I genuinely wouldn’t be able to do this without you 🫶

That being said, I have weekdays now remaining for 2026 & I am booking 2027/2028 so hit my line 🤗

it’s kinda just about my birthday byeee summer!

It feels like everything I have worked so hard to become is finally happening, and with a new beginning obviously comes a new look!!

When I started Five by Five, I knew how I wanted people to feel when they looked at their photos, but I don’t think I knew how to put that into words yet. But after weeks of designing with the wonderful @caseyb.design it all came together exactly the way I was envisioning

I want your photos to feel like you and your love, i want to make sure when you look back you can hear the laugh you forgot about in the photos. I want you to see the stolen glances you missed on your day, the tears cried, and all love that surrounded you.

I’ve never been interested in perfect, because perfection doesn’t exist! I love emotion, I love the little moments that happen when you stop thinking about the camera and just exist together, I love watching love!!

So you’ll notice a new website, a new look, and a whole lot of tiny details that feel so real and a little raw and very me. But the philosophy is the same, I’m here to document your forever in the most real way possible

Still so unbelievably grateful that I get to call this my job. So grateful to all those who have trusted me to capture their special moments and preserve their most cherished fricken memories.

I hope I keep getting to tell your stories 🫶

I realized I’ve never *truly* introduced myself on here, so if you saw my story calling this my rebrand you can ignore that. I’m officially calling this my re-introduction!

Hi, I’m Brittany 🫶 I’m a photographer based in South Jersey, but most of you may have noticed I left a little of my heart in Hoboken. I grew up there, spent years working in restaurants, lost my way many times but always found it again through photography.

Five by Five started with a push and a new camera purchase from my husband and in the last few years has grown in ways I never even dreamt possible. (Also yes, the name is a Buffy reference!)

I photograph the quiet moments other people might miss, the couples that are scared of the camera, and want people to remember their love in a raw and authentic way. It’s never a photoshoot, it’s just fun.

How do I put 2025 into words that accurately explain what it meant to me? I opened my own shop, got to go to one of my favorite places with my favorite girls, was thrown the most beautiful bridal shower by everyone I love, got to marry my soulmate and tattoo at an event for a band that means so much to me in my favorite shop in Philly. 18 year old me would think I’m the coolest and that’s what really matters to me at the end of the day. 2025 was my best year so far and I’m sad to see it go but excited for what 2026 holds. Thank you for being here for it all. ♥️ -your shirley temple queen 🫡
