I always like to be present and moving forward. I forget about things that have come before… but this was a good year, mainly for all the support and love I have been given. I won’t forget that. I just hope I give it back.

Recently… overwhelmed with love and work - 3 group shows so far this year and one solo, two limited edition prints and two online launches - new and old friends I can’t even express how grateful I am to have in my life - new and old amazing partners in work - and a level of exhausted that needs a week of sleep.

The anatomy of modern romance takes center stage in “Hello, Stranger,” a new group show in NYC, that “explores the competing forces at play in the game of sexual selection, and the physical and psychological tools we use to win it. Forms are magnified and multiplied, colors are sugar-coated, innuendos abound. We cannot tell portraits of lovers from strangers, moments of tenderness from loneliness. Together, the artists offer their respective representations of intimacy: on the one hand, the commodification of romance, on the other, the infinitely hopeful pursuit of love.” Featuring work by Gigi Rose Gray, Brianna Lance, Manyatsa Monyamane, Keith Henning, Anke Loots and Bongeka Ngcobo, the show is organized by the art advisory @bhallamunro (founded by @fifimackay and @just_manduu) and runs through today at 109 Thompson Street.
