Exactly one year ago, the girl who had never really been away from home, Mom, Dad, or her little circle packed her entire life in 2 bags and chose Canada.

A year of tears, laughter, sleepless nights, first meals alone, new experiences, new friendships, and finding a little family away from home. Somewhere along the way, I discovered parts of myself I never knew existed.

Forever grateful to my parents for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. And proud of myself for believing that I could do it-and actually doing it. 🤍

To my friends back home, distance changed nothing. And to the people I met here, thank you for making Canada feel a little more like home.

One year ago, I left home. Today, I’m building a new one. 🇨🇦❤️
