I’ve been obsessed with these core compression drills lately! They really help with simple movements like stepping through the hands from down dog, and I can feel how much they deepen my forward folds and support my inversions. I love how they strengthen my hip flexors, which are usually just being stretched in yoga but not activated enough. Every time do these I can feel myself getting stronger.

On her own words …
“My yoga journey started when I was 13 playing volleyball. My coach organized a yoga class for us. I came across yoga again when I was 18 and I had to choose a “club” for school. Yoga, it was. My connection grew during that year, and it has been a part of my life ever since. I strive to find more and more awareness and intra-connection with my body and mind through yoga in every practice. I am planning to do my 200-hour YTT training in early 2026 and then freelance to gain my experience. My ultimate goal is a large studio/event space with surround tiny earth homes for retreats and events . I’m so happy to be a part of this beautiful community, and I am so thankful for all of the support and connections I am making on this journey”.

I know lots of you have front splits as a goal. I had it too. A quick reminder that it takes patience and dedication. It takes time to learn to breathe and calm down nervous system. It just takes time. It took me 2 years to get to the ground. I had oversplits as a child but after 20 years of no exercise or stretching splits were gone and I had to start from the beginning. It can be frustrating and yet it’s a beautiful journey that teaches us patience and be kind to ourselves and our bodies. And that said it is important to mix different ways of getting flexible. Some dynamic, active and passive stretching is needed to get to the splits.
