The festival kicks off October 2nd with an immersive opening night curated to move through wellness, music, ritual + sensory experience

6–7PM // The Four Elements -
meditation, breathwork, cold exposure + sauna rituals with international masters

7–8PM // Live music by @meagandelima

8–9PM // Immersive sensory performance with fire, live drums, Aufguss, breathwork, cymatic light show + scent

9–10PM // Free Flow with cold plunges + guided sauna rituals

I love yoga for so many reasons.I started practicing 10 years ago after I broke my foot dancing - I went down center stage in Hong Kong. It was a hard time. The first of many to come over the next decade. During my recovery I needed something to keep my body happy and my mind healthy- yoga gave me both. Low impact and high reward. Gentle on the joints- powerful for the mind. And you just get stronger with time. The best part is there is a practice for everyone! Whether it’s Hatha, vinyasa, ashtanga, yin, Iyangar, hot or restorative (I’ve done them all)- it’s alllllllllll medicine AND it’s always there for you no matter what you are going through and to keep you going if it’s all going great. I never thought I’d see myself practicing in a hot room again, but I was searching as I am always to be as healthy as I can be in mind, body and spirit and I have have a found a beautiful community here at @bhytoronto
In the beginning it was super challenging and now it’s supremely grounding. Practicing in a group class again gave me the confidence to start my own class again. Another extremely rewarding gift of the yoga practice is when you get to share it. So if you’re curious about yoga and not sure where to start or if it’s been a while - I’d love you to join me
