Did you know that 1 in 3 adults in the NT love to go fishing? For many, Darwin Harbour is the place to go.

But when you speak to people who love to fish in Darwin, almost no one knows that the Federal government plans to hand over almost $2 billion of our money to expand the polluting Middle Arm gas hub right in the heart of the harbour.

Fortunately, we've got a plan to stop it! We've created a TV ad which we want to play during the NT's biggest fishing competition the Million Dollar Barramundi.

You can find a link to donate to get the ad in front of tens of thousands of people at the link in our bio - and thanks to our friends at @counter_frame who created it pro-bono, 100% of your donations will go toward buying ad slots 📺

From arrest records to advocacy: Switchboard’s Jenna Tuke on her fire for justice

Jenna Tuke didn’t set out to lead—a lifetime of activism, frontline sexual assault work and queer feminist politics is what got her there. As CEO of Switchboard, she’s steering the organisation through a sobering rise in anti-LGBTIQA+ violence, standing up a new helpline for people targeted through dating apps, and holding onto joy and fury in equal measure. In this interview, Jenna talks power, protest and what it means to lead by community, for community.

Te Raukura O’Connell Rapira doesn’t do despair. As CEO of 350 Australia, they’re building climate campaigns on ancestral ground—literally: their approach traces back to Parihaka, a Taranaki village that met invading troops with bread, white feathers and song 160 years ago.

In this interview, Te Raukura unpacks why Indigenous-led land management outperforms every other model, what 34 organisations are doing together through the new Climate Justice Coalition, and why the antidote to a divided world is simple generosity—the kind Papatūānuku, Earth Mother, gives freely.
