Tonight was one of those little reminders of why I love living in California. ☀️🌊 At 6pm, I grabbed my bathing suit, threw together a little picnic and headed to the beach to meet my honey, @castell0paul No big plan, just a spontaneous Friday evening by the ocean. And P.S. it was actually my FIRST time getting into the ocean this year! 😂🌊 A little splash in the water, some local munchies, toes in the sand and a beautiful sunset together. Sometimes the simplest moments really are the best ones. @bigcheeksbakery @morelumen Life is good. ❤️ I love my Paul Castello and our spontaneous little adventures together. Slow down, my friends. Make the time. Enjoy the sunset. Enjoy each other. Enjoy your life. Happy Friday! 🌅💋 #CaliforniaLiving #VenturaLife #BeachLife #SpontaneousAdventures #LifeIsGood

What a dream to be featured in the @santabarbaramag summer edition! As someone who grew up with copies of SB Magazine always on their coffee table it means so much to have our business highlighted by them. It means even more to also have some of our amazing local partner producers mentioned or nodded to @eloistudio @brothersofindustry @hernandezfamilyranch @motleycrew_marketplace @805seafood @kianipreserve @freckerfarms @thewilderceramics @keymerstudio @camins2dreams @luretik @rosie.bakes.bread @bigcheeksbakery @breeoshbakery Rising tides! 🌊 Photos by @heysaraprince

We’re in great company with other amazing markets @oliobottega @shoptheeddy @tinositaliangrocery. Immense gratitude to author @bex347 for taking so much care with our story. With so much great stuff happening in SB County, there’s no excuse not to shop small, shop local y’all! 💞🥩 🎣 Coyote’s photos courtesy of our photo queen @margaretaustin_photo

Great connecting with our community across Ventura County—from Ventura to Camarillo—at the Bell Arts Factory 20th Anniversary, a VC Defensa bake sale supporting immigrant families (with local businesses like Big Cheeks Bakery, Baked by Tallulah, Butter & Fold, and Awkward Pastry), and a screening of MAUDS (1993) with a discussion on lesbian culture and history. Grateful for these connections.

Today I had the honor of taking part in a bake sale fundraiser supporting VC Defensa and our local immigrant community. What stood out most wasn’t just the tables full of beautiful baked goods — it was the incredible women who brought this together with so much care, intention, and heart. The kind of leadership that doesn’t ask for attention, but creates real impact. @awkwardpastrychef @buddys_wine_ventura @x_victoriafarts_x @kelseyxbrito @bigcheeksbakery @livinginvta @jinx1107 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 And the baking community… from LA to Santa Barbara… showing up in the sweetest way (pun intended). Bakers, chefs, neighbors — all coming together to remind people who are struggling that they are not alone, that they are seen, and that they are supported. Food has always been a way to nourish, but days like today remind me it’s also a way to stand in solidarity. Always grateful to be a small part of something bigger.

Prom night… but make it ours. 💫 Paul @castell0paul made it to his prom back in the day… but legend has it he got kicked out (honestly, very punk rock of him 🤘). And me? I didn’t even stick around school long enough to get the invite. So here we are, rewriting the story in the best way possible. All dressed up, on our hot date at Municipal Winemakers @muniwine , sipping beautiful wine, sharing insanely good focaccia from Big Cheeks Bakery, and vibing to groovy music like we’ve been doing this forever. No rules. No curfew. Just love, laughter, and a little rebellious sparkle. ✨ Happy prom night to us. Love really is grand. 💕 #PromRewritten #HotDateVibes #VenturaNights #LoveIsGrand #PunkRockRomance
