The wife of the late Huey P. Newton, @fredrikanewton walked in our NYFW show wearing the Black Panther Party x Actively Black Collection.

Being born into my family means you’re a Cowboys fan. It’s really just that simple. Even if you don’t like football at all, you’re sure to pledge allegiance to “America’s Team” or risk being traded to another family. This fandom has bonded the Stapletons season after season for generations, but this year feels a little different. Why? Because the man largely responsible for introducing my siblings and I to this way of life and can always be heard saying “This is our year.”, unfortunately isn’t in the physical space to do so. We didn’t tailgate at MetLife this year like we usually do. We didn’t plan to travel and catch a game somewhere. Everything’s just felt off. That is until my brother @bigden8910 hit me and said the Cowboys were playing the Ravens in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and there was no way we could miss it. Now if you know Denzel, you know that since a child, this has always been his dream vacation. I think his first word might have been Brazil actually. With this in mind, I agreed, we booked it, made it happen and I couldn’t be more grateful for the experience! Bonding with my brother amidst all we have going on is simply priceless. We both needed this far more than I think we realized, and although pops wasn’t able to be there with us in the physical, we made sure he was in the building and right by our side every step of the way! We lost, but it’s all love! My family is undefeated! ❤️

We have HOURS of footage from the entire process of putting together the very first @activelyblack NYFW Show.

People see the production and think there was some huge team behind it.

We were literally putting together the show in my living room and outside of my apartment and had to have it done in 72 hours…

The behind the scenes stories are even more powerful than the show itself.

My guys @lexmacon @_itfw @texxliketexas were on their @coodierock flow and filmed EVERYTHING.

This is just a snippet of the story…

We’ve thought about creating a mini documentary showing the entire process and the story behind our NYFW shows.

Tribe, if we produced the mini doc, would y’all watch it?!
