POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

To every person who has ever shown up for an adidas Runners South Africa run: thank you!🖤

Hearing what the community means to each of you has been a reminder of how lucky we are to share this journey with you. You’ve made these 10 years mean more than we could have imagined.

Thank you for welcoming someone new, staying beside someone who needed it, cheering for a finish that wasn’t your own, and coming back week after week.

For 10 years, you have made this community what it is. These are your voices, your memories and your stories. We’re grateful to be part of them.

Thank you for being part of our family 🖤///

Thank you, Captain @biggzaaron , for reminding us that we are not alone. 🙏🏾

Your words gave us comfort — knowing that the men in our community will stand with us, look out for us, and keep us safe.

We run together. We stand together. We protect each other. Because every woman deserves to come home. ❤️‍🩹 #WithWomenWeRun #EveryWomanDeservesToBeSafe #EndGBV #AdidasRunnersDurban#AllyshipRun ❤️‍🩹

𝗜 𝗪𝗔𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝟲 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗖𝗔𝗣 🧢

This is the full story (at least part of it) of my first Comrades — the Up Run, Durban to Pietermaritzburg, 85.777km. The flight we almost missed. The foot that nearly ended it. The IT band that seized on Polly Shortts and made me walk when I wanted to run. And the line I crossed in 09:45:41 — not the medal I chased, but the one I was meant to get.

Swipe to read it. Every word. 👉

I didn’t write this to make anyone take up running. I wrote it because I watched my mom die, and I made a promise to use this body while I still have the gift to move. You can apply that to anything in your life.

You always get back on. Every single time. You do the hard work, you believe — and you make it.

This ain’t my first rodeo. 🤠
