Burger heaven with @bigmangav
Smashed patties with pulled short beef rib chilli with American cheese and seasoned fries, need I say anymore.

Polished off with a Rudgate evil elf pale ale.

Happy wife and all that.

Part 2 of 2...

I stopped on to watch a screening of @lifeaftermovies The Neverending Story and just like the other two I'd seen. I found myself feeling a whole bunch of emotions. Watching these movies I find myself with a lot more understanding and sympathy for the stars that Hollywood seemed to use and chew up, spitting them out. These documentaries are expertly made and engaging, even if you have never seen the film they're about, I'm sure you'd still take something away from them. Speaking of which, I forgot to talk about how fascinating I found the sections of the movies where they talk to the people who made the props and soundtracks. As a person who used to dream of doing that, those sections I find truly inspiring. Lisa's natural ability to get people talking about themselves, something I saw this first hand when we went for some food with the guys, listening to her asking inquisitive and somewhat probing questions to us. Gets the subjects to open up about things you might never have learned about.

After the movie, listening to Lisa talk about the process of making these movies and how hard it can be, made me appreciate them even more.

In closing I personally think what Lisa and her team do is important! Her movies not only embolden these classic movies but help keep the legacy of the stars and people behind the scenes legacies alive. They also make you feel something, and for me that's the most important thing about movies, they are meant to make you feel. Not just be consumed and then onto the next thing, which I feel a lot of modern movies are made for.
I might just be viewing Hollywood through nostalgic eyes, but I really do feel Hollywood has lost its heart she soul (I know it's always had an underbelly, but these days I don't think they can hide it anymore).
So seriously, please, go check out these movies!
They deserve so much more exposure and acclaim!

Also thank you @80svideoshop for hosting such an amazing guest and for providing a place for like-minded people to come and nerd out.
