Long distance relationships can be hard, but when that special someone is worth waiting for…it’s actually a walk in the park❤️🌈. With that said, I thought I’d write a song about it!! “Perfect Weather” was recorded 18 mths back by Brian Goodworth from Big Rock Studios on the Sunshine Coast and has been sitting in the volt since. “Ngumarri is a place along Lawn Hill Creek on the traditional lands of the Waanyi people. The song is inspired by stories from my grandfather’s sisters, my Garngu in our language, who grew up living on Country before being taken to Gregory Downs as teenagers. They didn’t speak English then and slowly learnt it by listening to the children around the police station. “Ngumarri” reflects their memories of life on Waanyi Country, when the land was full of running fresh water and their days were spent fishing, hunting, and living closely with the land.”

Yugurlda People by @dmcboysmusic ✨

Spending time on our land and telling our stories through song keeps our culture strong. It helps us stay connected to where we come from and share that with the next generation.

Rooted in the coastline, salt and freshwater country of the Gulf, Yugurlda People brings to life traditional Dreamtime stories passed down through generations of Ganggalidda people. With only a small number of fluent language speakers remaining, the EP stands as both a cultural record and a living expression of identity, resilience and pride.

We would like to thank @mufassamusic for mentoring our band through this journey and producing this EP, @briangoodworth of @bigrock_studios for mixing all the tracks, @paul.blakey.mastering for mastering, the Doomadgee Aboriginal Shire Council and @artsqueensland for their ongoing support ❤️

An early Xmas present from @dmcboysmusic & @mufassamusic 🎄

‘Feels Like Home’ is about life in Doomadgee (Gulf of Carpentaria). From the coastal Gangalidda country with epic fishing and beautiful sunsets, to the freshwater springs on Waanyi country.

We recorded this song in the Doomadgee Youth Hub Music Studio with Dale (aka Mufassa)‬ and Brian Goodworth! Then we mixed it at @bigrock_studios with Brian Goodworth of @bmusic_agency

My father always told me you can count your true friends on one hand, I am lucky enough to need both my hands to do that count. Beaudi Dwan is an Australian singer-songwriter whose music seamlessly blends heartfelt storytelling with Americana/Indie rock vibes. Drawing inspiration from personal experiences and the world around him, Beaudi crafts songs that resonate with authenticity and emotional depth.

‘Like Fire’ is now out on all streaming platforms!

I’ve had this song locked away for the last couple of years and have finally decided to release it! I wrote this on a cold winters afternoon during Covid times and went straight to Brian’s studio to track it. It then laid in the hard drive until now.

After a year of hard work we are super excited to be dropping our 3rd studio single ‘No Sense To Me’ which will be out on the 18th of July, Sometimes it’s easy to overlook the amount of work that goes into making music but in saying that I couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing musicians I get to call band members and everyone else involved in the process
