GRIZ-O HAS TAKEN HIS SOUND GLOBAL 🧡

Bold, direct, and refusing to sit in one lane, Griz-O’s experimental mix of Grime, Hip Hop and beyond has taken him from Gloucester all the way to Kazakhstan and Hungary.

A Future Bubblers alumnus with festival sets at BoomTown, Love Saves The Day, We Out Here and Tokyo World under his belt, plus The Jazz Cafe and Bristol’s O2 and he picked up Best Grime at the 2023 Beacon Urban Music Awards along the way.

Catch him at Beats for Eats. Bring a tin to get in 🥫

I'm so looking forward to @djmissdeerious' set later today at the @crownandsceptrestroud.

My vibe today is totally chill with an uplifting dreamy groove. I'll be playing some old Stereolab, Yo la tengo, The Cure, Trip-Hop, and some new stuff too.

FREE ENTRY: 4PM-9PM after Sunday lunch at @crownandsceptrestroud

Can you see yourself in the crowd?

It was such a brilliant day into night at #lansdownblockparty last Saturday. Five venues, countless live performances, DJs, and collectives including my beloved alma mater @bigsisdjs. Their Swamp takeover was epic and the whole industrial estate was abuzz 🎶 here’s a glimpse of how it went down at close of business in @deyabrewerytaproom

You can still donate to @cheltopendoor via the link in my bio - let’s smash last year’s total 💥

Shout out to @byrdout for his impeccable curation, energy, and “man behind DJ booth pretending to descend stairs” skills (see previous reel)!

Special mention to Tim at @the_greenstage for all the technical support, and to @rayjuss who was fantastic before, during, and after our handover.

GLOUCESTER FOODBANK IN NUMBERS 🧡

Beats for Eats isn’t just a rave with a good cause attached, it’s a direct response to what’s happening on our doorstep right now.

But the need doesn’t end when the night does and neither should our support. If you can, keep donating, consider volunteering or just help us spread the word all year round, not just one night of the a year.

We know how to put on a party in Cheltenham!

@byrdout once again delivered an outstanding #lansdownblockparty in GL51. Money was raised, bodies were popped, speakers were tested to the max (and beyond). A joyful day all round 🥳

Honoured to have been given the closing slot in the Big Room @deyabrewerytaproom where things got silly as you can see! Truly proud to have been part of this fundraising event.

You can still donate! Link to JustGiving page in bio.

One more from my @bigsisdjs presents mix on @redrebelfm
One’s a hangover and the other’s a sugar rush.

Lit are Orange County pop-punk brothers who had “My Own Worst Enemy” as their big one on an album where every track is a banger. This one gets sung at full volume every time.

The Go! Team started as a bedroom project in Brighton. Their debut, Thunder, Lightning, Strike, got a Mercury nomination. Their sound is a pile of samples, brass, handclaps and playground chants, like a 70s kids’ TV theme having the best day of its life.

They’re two tracks I love, and they have nothing in common except that they make me want to jump about.

@emftheband “Unbelievable” into @pusaband “Kitty”

This one’s from my mix on Big Sis DJs Presents on Red Rebel FM last week. The theme was about bringing back some absolute bangers which I think both of these are. Mix link in bio.

MISSKIKI only picked up the decks recently, but she’s already racking up sets and bringing serious energy to every one. While plenty play it safe, she’s dropping the sounds you rarely hear around here, hopping between genres as she goes.

Catch her at Beats for Eats 🥫
