Sometimes the best decisions are the ones you make knowing they’ll break your own heart. 💔 I wish I had understood that sooner. And if there’s one lesson I hope my children learn without having to learn it the hard way, it’s this: Doing the right thing won’t always feel good. The fruit comes from prioritizing obedience over our feelings. Peace doesn’t always come immediately after obedience, either. And sometimes trusting God’s plan means surrendering something you desperately wanted to be part of it. You can love someone deeply and still know that letting go is the right decision. You can grieve what could have been while trusting that God knows what will be. Because the measure of a right decision isn’t always how much happiness it brings you in the moment. Sometimes it’s the peace that comes from knowing you chose faith over fear, obedience over attachment, and God’s will over your own. Sometimes a broken heart isn’t evidence that you made the wrong choice. It’s evidence that you made a difficult one. And I’d rather my children learn to trust God through the heartbreak than spend their lives holding on to something simply because they’re afraid of letting go. 🤍

We have some extremely powerful episodes coming up soon on our Between the Highs podcast with @mack_the_roofer. The next 4 episodes to come are deeply personal and impactful stories that we hope can help others. Today’s guest, @blushedbyreva was our first female on the show. Woot! Her conversation was honest & real as was @the_mattcampbell a few weeks ago. @blushedbyreva did a great job today sharing her story.

💌 Big Sis Sunday reminder: 💌 Watch how someone treats people who aren’t feeding their ego. Confidence doesn’t need to make others smaller. Arrogance talks about itself. Confidence reveals itself. Hi Guys! Exciting announcement! Starting this Sunday, you’ve got a new big sister!! 🙋🏻‍♀️ I’m launching a new series called Big Sis Sunday. Every Sunday at 6am, I’ll be posting a short reel with a tiny little nugget of advice, the kind of things I wish someone had told me earlier in life. Because the truth is… I grew up without a mom or a strong woman guiding me through a lot of life’s big moments. Dating. Marriage. Having kids. Raising kids. Divorce. Dating again as a single mom. So I made a lot of mistakes. And learned a lot of lessons the hard way. Now I want to pass those lessons on to you. Think of it like having a big sister in your pocket every Sunday morning, something quick you can even listen to while you’re getting ready for church. We’ll talk about things like:
• dating and relationships
• confidence and boundaries
• motherhood (from someone with almost two adult kids 😅)
• life lessons I’m still learning myself The first Big Sis Sunday drops this weekend, and the topic is Dating Clarity. So come hang out with me every Sunday morning. And if there’s something specific you want your “big sis” to talk about next… send me a DM. 💌 See you Sunday 💕
