What a way to end a chapter that has shaped me into the woman I am today! Top 5 in the Americas & Caribbean and Top 20 in the world!! ❤️🤍💙

My biggest dream since I was ten years old was to represent my country on an international stage. Thirteen years later, I did just that. Even writing those words brings tears to my eyes.

This journey was never just mine. After receiving the call that I would be going to Miss World in just 14 days, the people I love dropped everything and somehow came together to make a dream I had carried in my heart for more than half my life possible. I will never be able to thank you enough!

To my family, everything I am begins with you. Thank you for the sacrifices no one sees, the prayers, the panicked phone calls, the late-night speech-writing sessions, the reassurance, and for loving me through every high and every low. I am proud to be a Sickler.

@anna_cantu you have been beside me every day for the past four years. You have watched me fail, question myself, get back up, and keep going. You made me stronger and wiser, and whenever I tried to control what came next, you reminded me to let go and trust God. Thank you, Mama Kitty, for holding my hand through it all!

@lucelaniasierra you have been a guiding light in my life since I was 12 years old. I grew up watching you, learning from you, and dreaming because of you. To now be called your “mini me” is something that little girl could never have imagined.

@fadilberishaphotography … what would I do without you? You made me feel beautiful during the moment when I felt the least beautiful. When I struggled to recognize myself, you reminded me that I was still me. I will never forget that.

Tuesday night, I got to hear my voice, with that quote, while I walked across the Miss America’s Teen stage in the gown of my dreams. I truly could not be more grateful to have had an experience like that. I am so honored to represent Maryland, and be blessed with an opportunity like this.

Tonight is the Miss America’s Got Talent Show and I am so excited to bring my culture to this stage! 🤍
