I almost didn't come back💔

But I am damn glad I did💜

This past weekend, after 10 months away due to medical issues and my inability to travel, I returned to the Supernatural convention in Columbus, Ohio.

For four years, these conventions have been my home away from home. This time, though, I returned in a wheelchair. I wasn't ashamed of surviving, but I was struggling with the reality of what survival had cost me.

Living with POTS and MALS has changed my life in ways I never expected. Pain, uncertainty, hospital stays, tests, and frustrations have become part of my everyday reality.

When I arrived at the convention, I felt lost. I told myself to focus on what mattered: seeing the people I cared about and making the most of the weekend.

What I didn't expect was to be reminded just how much this community means to me.

People stopped to talk to me. They asked about my wheelchair. They asked about my story. They encouraged me to keep sharing my experiences with chronic illness and mental health.

And for the first time in a long time, I realized something: I was still part of this family.

I wasn't forgotten. I was missed.

After years of searching for answers, I was diagnosed with MALS and POTS. On November 5, I'll undergo open MALS release surgery. There's still a long road ahead, but for the first time in years, I can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.

This weekend reminded me of something important: People change people.

The conversations we have. The friendships we build. The encouragement we give each other. It all matters.

I saw people I love. I made new friends. I laughed, hugged people tight, and made memories I'll carry with me into the fight ahead.

Most importantly, I came home with a reminder: I'm not done yet.

I came. I conquered. I won.

And when the hard part begins, I'll hold onto these moments and the people who helped create them until I can find my way back. ❤️

Billy and @mborja04, your reactions to the inspiration for my next book were absolutely PRICELESS! 😂 🇷🇺

I’m definitely going to have to pick all four of your brains in Chicago. I have a feeling there are a LOT more stories to be told! 😏📚

And @robenedict, you were the sweetest rockstar, as always! 🎸
