Actually, there was another really funny story. A guy was walking past the techno market and came up to me. He asked, “Is this Detroit Techno or not?” Honestly, I wouldn’t say I’m an expert in techno, but for some reason, I felt like I needed to say yes — that it was Detroit Techno.
He said, “Wow, seriously? Then I’ll come in and stay for the party.”
So it turned out that by trusting my intuition, I gave an answer that made this guy decide to join the techno market. …and then that guy gave me one of his Pokémon cards. I don’t know who you are or what your name is, but thank you so much — I absolutely love Pokémon cards.

Today techno marked only the second event in three years that I attended in America — and it happened because I finally discovered a space where a completely sober person can feel at ease, safe, and truly comfortable. It was a gathering of an incredible community — a group of people whose energy radiated authenticity, emotional intelligence, and genuine kindness.

The atmosphere was not only vibrant but also deeply thoughtful. The event was organized with sustainability in mind: reusable cups were encouraged, food and fruit stations were available for everyone, and even a charging station was set up for guests’ convenience. Every detail reflected care, consciousness, and respect for both people and the environment.

The quality of the people, the warmth of their interactions, the tastefulness of the music — everything created a rare and beautiful sense of belonging.

It reminded me just how vital it is to find a community where you are embraced exactly as you are, without judgment or expectations — a space where mutual acceptance and authenticity are the true currency. There is something profoundly healing about being in an environment where peace, respect, and genuine connection are simply the norm.

Special thanks from me for the Pokémon cards — I’m a huge fan! The clothing and merch are absolutely incredible as well, and I’ll definitely be purchasing some in the future. #sober #biohacking #techno
