Thunder storms may disrupt Sunday dirt church so we had it today just in case. Also Seb has graduated to a new bike, thank you Kiersten 😊 @wcc_thepines @bowheadcorp

What a weekend. 💚

In addition to nine returning riders, the Handcycling Club of Canada welcomed five new adaptive riders: Noah, Dana, Miranda, Deb, and Anton to our community for an unforgettable camp filled with learning, adventure, encouragement, and trail smiles.

From first trail rides to new challenges conquered, this weekend was a reminder that adaptive sports create space for confidence, connection, and community. Watching riders support each other, celebrate every milestone, and discover what’s possible on the trails is what this is all about.

Adaptive sports and adaptive mountain biking are for everyone. No matter your experience, ability, or background — there’s a place for you here.

Huge thanks to all of the volunteers, supporters, and community members who helped make this weekend so special.

@thepearlehotel was our venue of choice for a 1 day staycation. I thought it would be fun to have a paint night, and it did NOT disappoint. We laughed SO hard; I highly recommend doing this with partners, family, or friends.

Coaching today instead of riding. It was really cool to get to watch others learn to ride. Bikes are for everyone!

So I missed a day or two, they all blurred into one giant running party. I am most grateful to all of the wonderful people from our team taking care of our needs. From foot care to warming us up, food deliveries, cheerleaders, right down to the use of a 24hr convenience store with clean toilets- it was epic.

I feel happy. In 12 days it will be my 1 year heartiversary and 6 months since sternum repair. This year has been the best of times and the worst in so many ways.

I'm grateful to be present to soak it all in.
