We lost one of the greats 16 years ago today.

When I started seriously drawing in 2021 Danny Magoo Chandler was one of my first efforts. This was before drawing was anything serious for me so I was too impatient to bother with backgrounds. Little did I know. 🤷🏻‍♂️😅

Fun fact; I worked for Troy Lee in sales and when I showed him this drawing he was impressed so I gave it to him. That weekend I saw him at the Vet Nationals and he said “Hey Rich, I got Magoo framed” and I was like….. really? That’s so cool. Please show me so I can know what my drawings look like framed. His reply: “wait….. YOU drew that!?” He thought I gave him art somebody else did.

Wicked ‘65 Nova drag car on staggered polished Centerline Autodrags …skinny’s up front, tubbed steamroller slicks out back, judging from the wheelie bars and bug catcher injector hat poking thru the hood I bet this bad mf’r makes some serious horsepower and needs all that tire to plant it, and with the killer paint it shows as hard as it goes 😎 #showcardragcar #staggeredcenterlines #polishedautodrags #bugcatcherinjectorhat #badassprostreetnova
