POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

One of the subjects of this reel is extremely photogenic, while the other one is well aware of which side of the camera he belongs. It is our 33rd wedding anniversary today, if you are fortunate enough to see me, please congratulate me on this landmark. If you see Sacha today please feel free to offer her your condolences…she has been through a lot. 😉

The Eiffel Tower is one of the most famous landmarks in Paris, rising high above the city and offering spectacular views of the Seine River and the surrounding neighborhoods. Located in the heart of Paris, the tower is surrounded by beautiful parks, elegant streets, and historic buildings. Across the river, the Trocadéro is a popular area known for its grand gardens, fountains and excellent views of the Eiffel Tower. Nearby, Les Invalides is another impressive landmark, recognized its magnificent golden dome and its historical importance, including the tomb of Napoleon Bonaparte. Together, the Eiffel Tower, Trocadéro, and Les Invalides showcase the beauty, history, and grandeur of Paris.

In addition to a wealth of really free range chickens in St. Croix there are also many stray cats. They, unlike many human beings, seem to have mastered the art of coexistence, as you don’t see any chicken carcasses and piles of feathers in the streets and they casually walk past each other with out realizing the food chain hierarchy. The cats are extremely friendly, bordering on “clingy”’at times, but they know just what to say to get your attention.

Urban Safari landed in St. Croix after sharing a flight with a couple of wonderfully friendly pups. Seems on the island a lot of things are friendly…and the moths are ambitious 😳.

While touring a textile workshop and a mescal distillery, it was good to see a little love being shown to the resident (transient) dogs hanging around the factories.
The dogs at the mescal distillery seemed to have a little less energy…it’s impossible to know why.

Mitla is the second-largest archeological site in Oaxaca behind Monte Alban. While touring the grounds of this ancient Zapotec site we were given the most charming escort.

Driving from Oaxaca City to see the petrified waterfalls at Hierve el Agua via Santa Maria del Tule and the mountain village of San Lorenzo Albarradas. Where the dogs are sleepy and the horses are homeowners.

All dressed up for a stroll through the market in Oaxaca. No disguising the love in those eyes.

In a small park in Oaxaca we met a U.S. Immigrant to México whose dog of 12 years had passed last year. He now has a new young dog, Shaka. He told us “She loves people, but isn’t too sure about other dogs”. Personally, I feel the other way. She was an absolute sweetheart, and how heartwarming to know that she is the one to help him with his loss. Dogs truly are the best of us.
