Born from a love of sourdough baking and a desire to give beautiful fabrics a second life. Each Wild Bluebell bowl cover is handmade with love in Canada 🇨🇦 using repurposed cottons, thoughtfully sewn with a food-safe lining to help keep your dough moist and happy as it rests and rises. Over the past 8 months, I’ve been so grateful to watch these covers find homes in kitchens near and far — and to see so many forgotten fabrics given a second chance to be used, loved, and part of your baking rituals. 🤍 Special thanks to these amazing humans 💕 Nusrat @sabzi.shabzi 🇺🇸 Wendy @maritimebreadrising 🇨🇦 Jesse @doughbauchery 🇺🇸 Brit @birdysbread 🇨🇦 Katrina @the.sourdough.mama 🇺🇸 Jaimie @thesourdoughflourist 🇨🇦 Kim @sourdoughwithkim 🇺🇸 Angie @my_little_sourdough_kitchen 🇨🇦 Morgan @mos_d0ugh 🇺🇸 Iggy @floatygoatkitchen 🇬🇧 Akeila @torontosourdoughmama 🇨🇦 Ramona @ramona.brule 🇨🇦 Mandy @livingwellwithmandy 🇺🇸 Caitlyn @sourdough__chronicles_ 🇨🇦 Gia @giasbatch 🇨🇦 Linda @linda__atkinson 🇨🇦 Which is your favorite cover ? ❤️ You can find the link to our shop in our bio where you will find hundreds of limited prints. Have you ever noticed how many sourdough recipes get saved and then quietly forgotten? We created the world’s first physical sourdough recipe card subscription to offer a slower, more reliable way to learn and bake. At Wild Bluebell Homestead, we believe baking knowledge belongs in the kitchen — on paper — where it can be returned to, used often, and built upon over time. Each month, sourdough recipes are delivered by letter mail, forming a personal recipe archive that grows more valuable through repetition, notes, and experience rather than screens and endless scrolling. What makes this subscription different: -Monthly sourdough recipe cards mailed to your home wherever you are in the world -Limited-edition, one-of-a-kind recipes that are never repeated -Collectible cards printed on archival recycled cardstock -A fully non-digital, low-waste system designed for long-term reuse -A slower rhythm that helps bakers focus, repeat, and build real confidence Enrollment is intentionally limited so every mailer remains special, personal, and consistent. Would you like to receive sourdough recipes by mail each month? Visit the recipes URL link in our profile to join, or email members@wildbluebell.ca with any questions. #sourdough #recipe #subscription #monthly #lettermail

Sourdough isn’t a shortcut kind of life — It’s a journey. A meditation. A slow invitation to be present with your hands, your breath, and your home. Watching friends bake with our reusable, second-hand fabric bowl covers and banneton covers reminds me why we do this… 💕Because choosing what already exists matters. 💕Because intention matters. 💕Because small, thoughtful rituals shape the world we live in. ♻️💛 Tell me — what part of your sourdough routine grounds you the most? I’d love to hear your favourite slow-living moment below. 🫶 And if you love these kinds of stories, tips, and behind-the-scenes peeks from our homestead, sign up for our newsletter (link in bio). 🌾✨ Special thanks to Brit from @birdysbread 💕 #homesteadlife #homesteading #homestead #canada #britishcolumbia #bc #sourdoughbread #homesteadinglife #sourdough #homemade #sustainablity #repurpose #repurposed #madewithlove❤️ #beautifulbritishcolumbia #wildbluebellhomestead #sewersgonnasew #sewsewsew #sourdoughlove #bowlcovers #circularity #ecoconcious #handmade

Purple focaccia! You can fit a whole head of cabbage in a half pint jar if you try hard enough. The cabbage experiment worked very well. The bread is SO pretty and there isn’t even a hint of cabbage flavour in it. Recipe: 130g levain 640g bread flour 500g water 20g olive oil 14g salt 14g cabbage powder Combine levain, water, flour, and cabbage powder. Rest 30 minutes. Add salt and mix until fully incorporated. Rest 30 minutes. Slowly add olive oil and knead for another 5-10 minutes until the dough is smooth. Move to a clean oiled bowl to proof at room temperature for 6 hours - coil fold every 30 minutes for the first 2 hours. Move to the fridge to bulk ferment for 12-24 hours. Remove the dough from the fridge and put it on a lined baking sheet or cast iron pan. Stretch the dough to fill the baking sheet/pan and leave to proof until double in size (in my kitchen, about 4 hours) Bake covered at 500°F for 13 minutes, uncover and reduce oven to 430°F and bake for another 13-15 minutes. @birdysbread, I know I said I’d tag you when I did my pear/blue cheese focaccia but I thought you might enjoy this one, too. 69 • • • • • #Sourdough #Focaccia #SourdoughFocaccia #PurpleBread #RedCabbage #DehydratedCabbage #NaturalFoodColour #HomeBaker #KuzcoTheKitchenLlama #BakingExperiments #LaozaoLaomian
