Thank you so much for coming to PLAYGROUND - our Sunday afternoon of movement by @india_bailey & and art workshop by @bis__ous ✨

We flowed through The PLAY Method: not just a fitness class but a movement flow designed to get those creative juices flowing. After following a journey through expression and release, we went straight into an art workshop—learning about the line and how to express ourselves through touch, texture and art.

Join us at our next PLAYGROUND, Sunday November 22nd at @yoke__space book now on Airbnb (link in our bio)

Last week i was at the @tate admiring one of my favourite biomorphic, feminist artists #anamendieta . This week I met an older couple at my residency in luberon, very similar to I. They too skip the Melbourne and euro winters, live out of a case and travel enjoying a lifetime of summers… today they invited me to an early morning hike, at 1900ft. At the beginning of our journey, I found my own #ana!

You know that feeling of dancing in the shower? Nobody watching, no idea what you look like, moving purely because it feels good. That’s the premise of PLAYGROUND.

A 50-minute session where the music leads and your body just follows, led by @robynsheen No steps to learn, no coordination required, just permission. Then the room shifts into a creative arts workshop led by @__amaani__ because whatever gets unlocked on the mat needs a second outlet.

A beautiful memory of our photo shoot with @bis__ous

🔗You can find her original artworks on our website www.upalittle.com

Amaani is an Australian-Pakistani multidisciplinary artist whose fluid, juxtapositional and introspective practice transforms bodily tension into delicate lines, colours and forms.

She draws on her own body as inspiration, alongside Pakistani and Australian flora. Her practice emerges from nature, womanhood and instinctual movement — distilling botanical and bodily forms into expressive line and subtle tonal variation, exploring restraint, movement and organic rhythm.
