Where better when working in Southport than to visit 2 wonderful places to recharge with fabulous food !
@bistrotverite wowed as always! Thankyou Mark , @jacquesverite family & team . Outstanding menu , fabulous food & superb service 🇫🇷 . Plus our @southportflowershow compere of many years @dads_kitchen_garden_ celebrating 🥳 🎂.

Then a perfect evening @limoncellobirkdale with @candicebrown Sophie & gorgeous Bonnie after a horrendous travel north - @annarosacappiello & her team made us feel so welcome and looked after us like only Italians can ! The perfect choice of pastas salad and pizzas with the best atmosphere in the heart of @birkdale.village #mammamia 🇮🇹

The Incredible @bistrotverite,📍Birkdale, serving up stunning 2 AA Rosette French 🇫🇷 cuisine since 2009.

This has been waiting to be ticked ✅ off our list for years ( and boy was it worth the wait 🙌).

We ordered a bottle of Prosecco 🍾 and a lovely Pinot noir 🍷, settled into our seats in the beautiful restaurant and perused the menu 👀.

What we ordered:

A bag of French bread and butter 🥖 🧈.
Gordal olives 🫒
Crispy Frogs legs and snails🐌, rich with garlic 🧄. ( first time trying both of these, we felt very brave 😊).

Asparagus with a crispy poached egg and parmesan veloute.
Sticky tamarind chicken kebab on cumin spiced chick pea salad with coconut 🥥 curry sauce👌

Scottish Halibut fillet, Queenie scallops, asparagus,Café du Paris butter ( the fillet huge and cooked to flakey perfection, a simply stunning piece of cooking ).

Crab 🦀, tiger prawn 🦐 and nduya macaroni cheese pasta.

English Strawberry 🍓 and vanilla Mille feuille.

This restaurant is absolutely incredible, cooking of the highest order. Please add @bistrotverite to your list of places you must visit.

A village favourite serving classic French cuisine. Tables will be hard to come by during tournament week, but it’s always worth trying your luck.

A stylish bar and eatery serving brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks. From small plates to wagyu burgers, steaks and risotto – all very, very good. Plus the outdoor terrace is ideal for celeb spotting.

3 @limoncellobirkdale 🍝
A super chic Italian restaurant serving all the classics in elegant and stylish surroundings.

4 @birkdalevillagefishandchips 🍟
Who doesn’t fancy a side of chips with your post-golf pint? You’ll find this one easily – just look for the queue.

5 @purely_slice 🍕
Arguably the best takeaway pizza in town. Better still, if you find yourself at The Tea Rooms, they’ll deliver straight to you.

6 @heritagebutchersbirkdale 🔥🌭
Our brilliant local butcher is firing up the BBQ outside the shop on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. While you’re there, pick up some Heritage Royal sausages for breakfast back at the Airbnb.
