Cracking night at @boombattlebar Cardiff this week for their cocktail masterclass, celebrating all things @patron! A margarita is forever a fave of mine, I wouldn’t like to say how many we had 😂😇

It’s safe to say you’ll never be dry during this, and will never stop laughing either! The staff were a great laugh and knew their stuff too. Food was good, especially the chicken tenders and carbonara bites. After the masterclass we hit the karaoke booths, thank goodness for soundproofing…

ad 🎤 @sing.pods have arrived at @golffanguk Cardiff! Crazy golf, AR darts, arcade games and now karaoke 🎶 singalong bottomless brunch anyone?

@bites_withbeth and I tried out the bottomless brunch and went for the Hawaiian pizza and salt and pepper chicken loaded fries. Drinks were Hugo spritzes and passionfruit margaritas - lovely stuff. The bottomless continues in the booth or round the course, it’s up to you!

The karaoke booths are fab - air conditioned, soundproof and you can even pick your lighting style 😂 there’s a selfie mode too - they’ve thought of everything! You’ll find the first pod by the bar, and Jeremy Kyle is keeping an eye on the second one, IYKYK 👀 it’s £10pp for 90 mins, we loved it!

I took @bites_withbeth for her first rodeo at Neighbourhood, and we enjoyed a Canadian lobster, lobster rolls, truffle fries and some delicious corn ribs. When you spend £10 on sides or upgrades, you get the lobster for £10 instead of £18 - it just makes sense 🙂‍↕️

Whilst I’m excited to see what’s coming next at Neighbourhood, I’ll be sad to see this menu go. Book in if you can, it’s worth it! 😋

ad 🔥 Bristol’s Spitfire BBQ has made the move across the river and opened in Cardiff!

Right in the thick of it on St Mary’s Street, Spitfire offers a wide variety of meats cooked ‘low and slow’, think ribs, brisket, cheese steaks and sides. It’s normally served by the platter, but on the launch night it was a self-service affair - so excuse our presentation! 🥴

The meat was super tender, literally coming apart with the wooden utensils (or our teeth!) The pork belly was ultimately our favourite part, soft pork with well rendered fat and a good apricot glaze. The chicken wings definitely packed a flavour punch!

It’s lush to have a serious BBQ option in Cardiff - I’m looking forward to returning to try more of their South African braai offerings, I’ve heard good things about their Gatsby and braai bread 🇿🇦

What in the sparkly fairy lights and mulled wine is THIS?! ✨

The Cosy Club crew know what they’re doing when it comes to its upcoming festivities, I was signed up as soon as I saw Fraser in a Christmas shirt and a dicky bow. However, a very cheesy arancini, an incredible bruschetta, moreish chicken bites, and a chocolate mousse later - I loved it.

From a marketing standpoint, that was some classy, grade A collateral in/on those menus, which I geeked out on.

But I won’t lie, I’m terrible at getting content if I get to chat to everyone and do a bit of networking - it’s the old Director of Sales in me I’m afraid, so I’m a 0/10 on that front, you’ll have to go and experience it yourselves!

Well done Cosy Club, a great way to kick off party season!

It’s been a minute - how about a little bit of @bar44tapas? There aren’t many restaurants in Cardiff that I’ve been to more often, and for very good reason. Bar 44 consistently provides top notch food, and never fails to whisk me off on a Spanish escape - with a sangria in one hand and a plate of sobrasada on toast in the other.

My favourite visits are when I get to take someone for the first time, and this time the lovely @bites_withbeth came along. We took advantage of their early bird offer, one of the best in the city. Three tapas plates and a sangria (or other tipple) for £24 is a win in my books.

As always, it was beautiful. If you don’t know, please get to know and message me if you want any menu recommendations - I pride myself in having tried most of it!

 We’re half way through the #indiecardifftakeover campaign and the response so far has been nothing short of amazing. So many independent businesses in Cardiff getting the spotlight they deserve.

What started as a little idea has turned into a city wide campaign reaching almost a million people with more and more accounts and businesses sharing and getting involved. I’ve seen first hand people booking places from the posts being put out by everyone which is exactly what I wanted to achieve.

I hope you’re all enjoying it so far - there’s plenty more fantastic independents being posted over the next week, but for now I am taking the weekend to relax!   Thank you to all of the food bloggers who have got involved, for anyone looking for great places to eat in South Wales, make you sure drop them a follow! (Foodies if I’ve missed any of you I am sorry!!! You are appreciated - I’ve just been hectic!)

First book club of the year ✅️

@alittle.sereen chose Yellow Face which personally wasn't for me but purely for the fact that I read to relax before bed and oh my God, this riled me so much! I wanted to do a Joey Tribiani and throw it in the freezer.
