POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I was tagged by @jayalmazan.79 to post a black & white photo of me on stage. Sooo many to choose from but here is one of my favorites bc I'm so happy in it. @tammieforeal and I choreographed a tap piece for all levels of dancers. Got to play an office nerd and dance on a table. Fun times. ☺️
Tag you're it! @tammieforeal @natasha_remi @ashleyljones23 @savannahraelinz @mz.dontmiss @chrisboogy @bjoa19

It was our joy and honor to bring to the stage a reading of “Welga: A Filipino American Play” by Conrad Panganiban this past weekend as part of our 2024 Summer Staged Reading Series! A beautiful, heartfelt performance from the cast and a wonderful reception from our audience for this important, inspiring and funny play! Thank you artists: actors, director, playwright, designers and all involved in bringing this special performance to the @teatro_espejo stage! We can’t wait to see more of Conrad’s work staged here in Sacramento. A true local gem of an artist!! Follow Conrad and all the wonderful work he is creating at @consplayspace

Special thank you to “Welga” director, Angela Dee Alforque @kuliadances for her vision, passion and heart in bringing this work to life and to our cast for the beautiful storytelling.

And gratitude to our wonderful audience for the incredible support!! 🎭❤️

What an amazing, abundant, blessed year for Matriarchy Theatre. First and foremost we want to thank our beautiful community of artists, supporters, champions and all of you here on socials who hype us up and send your love and buenas vibras!✨🪶💖 We are so grateful to you for believing in us, welcoming our stories into your hearts, and helping us to create a platform for our collective stories. Matriarchy Theatre would not be here without the support of this generous community!! - My heart overflows with gratitude, joy, and love because it is constantly filled by the amazing people who have brought themselves to @matriarchytheatre . So thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Choosing only 10 pics for the years is a challenge, but so thrilled to have captured so many pics of this beautiful community, in all its forms:

1) The launch of @sacramentotheatres of Color at @dripespresso sponsored by Matriarchy Theatre.

2) The beautiful artists, producers & family of “Intercultural Reflections: A Festival of the Arts” co-produced by Matriarchy with @teatro_espejo @themacbethproject & @sinagtalasac

3) Performing with our @dynamicenerg family at “Intercultural Reflections”

4) Celebrating Matriarchy Theatre’s anniversary with an improvised song by the beautiful geniuses of “Just A Pinch: A Uterus Play”😂💖🎶

5) TOP: Invited by @falconrichard & @crisj_sacstate to record a podcast episode highlighting the social justice work of @sacramentotheatres of Color with @matriarchytheatre @themacbethproject @teatro_espejo @tenatheater and brilliant local theatre artists/educators of color. Such a beautiful, heartwarming and honest conversation!! (Click link in bio to listen.) BOTTOM: Invited by @carissa______ and @caforthearts to be a panelist representing Matriarchy Theatre and Sacramento Theatres of Color to discuss the state of performing arts in California. Another really important & powerful conversation. Honored to rep the people and POV of small organizations doing big, important work!

6) Early stages writing session for our original devised play, “Just A Pinch.”

More photo descriptions in comments! 🤗 #wearehere

Received the "punny" (hehe) plant labels from @sassystakes! They're so cute! It was hard to decide which planty to label but I think I did well!

If you like what you see, check out @sassystakes's page and see more photos of these labels! Available now on Amazon! 10-pack for $17.99!

Also, I don't have any thirsty plants and don't plan on owning one (at least those are my thoughts for now). So I labeled myself as "#THIRSTY"... 😉🍷

I've tagged several people/businesses on the photos to mark where I received the plants and pots from.
