There’s nothing quite like accidentally, permanently deleting all 400+ DSLR images from your two-week European vacation.
There’s the guilt that comes with emotionally reacting to the loss of digital files as if it were a death. Rage toward the stupidity of the act itself. Disbelief that you managed to dodge every fail-safe readily available to you. The agony of losing such pretty, high-resolution records of your unique perspective of places you’ve never seen before. Shame for being lucky enough to go on the trip in the first place and then doing something so utterly avoidable and entirely self-inflicted to dampen the whole experience forever. Stupid spoiled brat.
Your friend tells you to download software that says it’ll recover the images. Sounds fake, but you download it. You beg for a miracle, but you don’t want to get your hopes up. Or, really, waste the miracle.
And then your breath evens out and you wipe your face. You realize that this is very much a privileged person problem. Sure the camera and three lenses were heavy, and some of the compositions were time-consuming... not to mention getting yelled at by that security guard at Segrada Familia. But maybe this one minor bad thing is keeping something worse from happening later (that’s how the universe works, right??). You are blessed with your health and the health of your loved ones. What were you even going to do with those photos?
Well, now we get to find out. The software recovered every single one of my files. IT’S A MIRACLE! Though I would’ve preferred to keep the karma in my back pocket for future, more dire use (definitely how it works), I value these photos so much more now that they’ve been brought back from the brink of oblivion.
TL;DR Stay inside and we’ll all be brought back from the brink of oblivion.

📢Just a friendly reminder from @bk.bap — Also, did you sign Breonna Taylor’s petition yet? She was murdered 95 days ago and her killers are still free.

Best 9 of 2019❤️⁣
From the first pitch of the season honoring my Poppa⚾️, to my baby turning two👶🏽, to various bachelorette parties/weddings, and enjoying wonderful people... it's been one fulfilling year.❣️
.⁣
P.S. It's too hard to pick only 9 pictures so don't be made if you see more bests later 😬 #bestnine

All 2020 💗.

Happy New Year to you all! Thank you for all of your support and love this year. It means so much to me when I receive feed back that my page/blog is helping in one way or another. Sometimes I get discouraged and feel like stopping, but the encouragement from you all continues to motivate me 💗. Although I first decided in 2018 to take blogging more seriously, 2019 was really the year I took it to another level. So much time, money, creativity, etc. was spent on “Original Flavour”, and it was and is ALL worth it. Going to take all that was learned in 2019 and use it to propel forward. Stay tuned folks & don’t sleep on me-I got big plans 😘. .

Not all, but SOME of the key figures in my life that I’d love to be spending my born day with. Grateful for another year of life spent in the company of my amazing tribe. Sorry my bday is annoying. Thank you for thinking of/loving me!👸🏻🧁 #pinchme
