There were so many parts of Michael K. Williams’ story that reminded me of people I know. People who took a wrong turn, fell into addiction, couldn’t see a way out, or fought like hell to find one. People who fell in love with life, found their place in the world and still have to contend with the possibility that addiction could come creeping back in at any moment. His story is a reminder of how fragile it all can be. How easily a life can take a completely different direction, and how even when someone finds their footing, the struggle doesn’t necessarily disappear into thin air.

I also had no idea just how much social justice and philanthropic work Williams did or how deeply he cared about the communities and young people who were facing some of the same struggles he knew firsthand. At the end of the book he recognized how much work there is to be done, but he was also full of hope for future generations. He had a true a desire to see people have opportunities, support and a way forward. It breaks my heart that to know that he had so much more to offer this world before he died. People are so much more than their worst decisions and their hardest battles.

Haven't done a #tbt in a minute. But tonight I'm headed to @bathtubginnyc tonight to do a disco set. YEARS ago I held a weekend residency here. BT is one of them spots that you just never know who is gonna pull up.

On this night I got the place rocking and I end up working my way into a classic house/dance set. The manager at the time Steve comes up to me and says "CEO...I got someone in the back that is loving what you are doing and he wants to me you." I said sure of course...it was @bkbmg

Dude was so super cool. He said take my number. Hit me up. Let me know where you at. I hit him a few times. He never hit me back. It didn't matter. I touched another gifted soul with my art and it was recieved with love. That's all that matters.

Rest Well King.

After speaking with Sean Bean who was raving to me how “Spartacus” (a show is just been lucky to get a start in) inspired “Game Of Thrones”, a show he was just killed off of in Season 1.😂 ..this happens allot with Sean on TV

After, several publicist and directors came to me and said “Your going to be star”, protect yourself in this industry.

It’s one thing I learned to do🥹❤️🫶🏾 ..now I am here to protect others.

Rest in Power @bkbmg
