Thank you everyone who made the Ripples show come to fruition. Was a welcome departure for me to step away from bags and put my other creative dabblings on display.

Thank you @anadolis for the most seamless collaboration (no pun intended).

Thank you @thestrand_design and @loganlinkhome for the space and opportunity.

And thank you to everyone who stopped by to partake in this strange amalgam of me and my creative process. I felt very loved and supported.
Not sure where this is all leading, but I'm enjoying the voyage.

3 days left to see “Paintings for Lou” ✨ Don’t miss out on the texture, depth, dimension and sheer beauty of these oil-and-sand paintings. There’s a reason this show has been making people feel things ~ it’s deep, beautiful and awe-inspiring 🫶

The Atoll Bench
An idea of mine brought to life with the expert woodworking of @black.crate

Inspired by the South Pacific atolls I visited while circumnavigating; low-lying coral islands formed over millennia by subsided underwater volcanoes. A nod to the deceptive subsurface, a push to question what lies beneath. Atolls are some of the world's most remote, isolated tropical islands. Tuck through a narrow reef pass and enter a calm lagoon, shielded solely by shallow reef from the open ocean swell.

A harmonious blend of locally salvaged redwood and locally salvaged sailcloth. Substantial and sustainable.

An upcycled tanbark sailcloth cushion pairs perfectly. It harkens back to the era of exploration, the era when cotton and hemp sails were bark-tanned to extend their lives, and in that process dyed a rusty red.

Grain and texture that mimic the sea's surface.

The bench will be featured in Ripples, an upcoming show at @thestrand_design
