Louisiana did not disappoint! 🦆⚜️

We headed south for a chance to hunt black-bellied whistling ducks during Louisiana’s special season. A new species to chase, new places to explore, and another opportunity to make memories with my girls.

One of my favorite things about duck hunting is where it takes us, the experiences we get to share along the way, and the people we meet.

The ducks are always the excuse. The time together is the real reason.

Another adventure in the books for Outdoors Dad Life! 🦆❤️

Glad I got to experience history for the first ever black belly whistler season in Louisiana. No calls, no decoys, and no blind… but still managed to get a few. And to make things better, the bass were biting right after the hunt. Only 6 birds this year, but next year I’ll be way more prepared. #BBWD #ducks #fishing #blackbellywhistlingduck #louisiana

Black-Bellied Whistling Duck Season 2026 is officially in the books! 🦆

We closed out the season on a great note here at Southern Delta Outfitters! It was a season filled with good hunts, great memories, plenty of laughs, and even better company. We want to give a huge thank you to everyone who came out and hunted with us, along with everyone who helped make this season a success. We truly appreciate the continued support and friendships we’ve built along the way. There’s nothing better than spending time in the blind, making memories, and enjoying what we love to do. We look forward to seeing everyone again next season!
