A week of firsts! Today I was invited to my first #CurlyChristmas and first @treasuretress Brunch! Hosted by the CEO and Founder, the incredible @jameliaisobsessed What an event, what a set up and what a brilliant concept! I will always cheerlead for great people, (especially women) so, to see you celebrate 10 YEARS of Curly Christmas is an honour Jamelia! The business and Community you’ve created is ICONIC! I hope you take some time to reflect on how MAJOR you are and props to your brilliant team who support you and bring these events and activations to life!

CMP Session | 22 November 2025
“Are You Street Smart?”

Today was lively, full, and purposeful as our young people explored what it truly means to navigate London with awareness and confidence. The energy in the room was outstanding.

A big well done to Jonathan for steering the session, supported strongly by Ritchie, Aaron, Cliff, and Rueben through focused table mentoring. The Diamonds were engaged, vocal, and ready to learn.

Our PIP team welcomed new parents, many leaving proudly with their children holding their new 100BMOL lever arch folders. A special shout out to Ola for championing this initiative. One of our Diamonds has already made it a habit to bring his folder every two weeks.

We were thrilled to welcome four new mentees and their families into CMP. A special mention to our new Diamond who attended independently and carried himself with admirable confidence.

As we continue to settle into the programme, this is the perfect moment for mentors to formally introduce themselves to their Diamonds, begin building those trusted relationships, and offer early support.

Thank you to every mentor, volunteer, and parent who is shaping a young person’s journey. Your consistency is creating real change.

Working hard. Hardly working

I’ve been consciously taking steps to live, love, work and play more intentionally.

I’ve spent the last 5 years working harder than I’ve ever worked in my entire life but I’m entering a new mode.

I’m half way through a more stripped back year.

Less mentoring, less awards judging, less always on industry chat. Less of doing the most, all of the time!

More fun, more celebrating, more connecting and catching up with the people I love.

Less chasing and more flowing.

Building @coldr.london and @blackcommsnetwork will always be a priority - I love what I do.

I’m just changing gears. In this season enough is exactly the right amount ❤️

1️⃣ A sense of humour builds rapport. 🎤😆 Not taking myself too seriously? Essential. Letting a joke land at my own expense? Even better. If I’m laughing, at least I’m in on it.

2️⃣ Flexibility is paramount. 🌉✨ Interviewer throws a curveball? Instead of panicking, I should pivot smoothly. Turns out, the shorter the answer, the smarter I sound. Which is great, because my 20-minute segment got cut in half. “Roll with the punches” isn’t just a saying—it’s survival. Either way… you learn to laugh it off. 😅

3️⃣ And if all else fails… make friends with the producers. They control your fate. A little charm = a higher chance of not being edited out completely. 😂
