Meganelizabeth Diamond. @meganelizabethdiamond
The Sky as a Performance Site

Sat, Sept 5th, 2026 @ 2pm (SK) / 3pm (MB)
Join us on Zoom this weekend!

Presented in conjunction with GLIMPSE, Diamond’s solo exhibition at Godfrey Dean Art Gallery, The Sky as a Performance Site considers clouds, photography, afterimages, and the act of looking upward. Moving between artist talk, visual essay, and participatory performance, Diamond will explore sky burn an ongoing practice of staring into the sky long enough for an image to linger after it has changed and the ways photographs attempt to hold what is already disappearing.

Viewers are encouraged to tune in from an outdoor location, or from somewhere with a view of the sky.

Medical Surveillance Erasure Ritual, a small fantasy of disappearance, from PPE Rituals, made for BackFlash Magazine’s EQ Digital Commissions with thanks to @kdoole for internet wizardy.

Link in bio to perform the ritual.

In a grassland, underneath a massive stone monument, sits a clinic waiting room chair, on top of which rests your hospital gown. A benevolent voice guides you as you float above the world, careen underwater, then land on a dirt path where glowing documents pulse with light, then flicker out of view.

PPE Rituals is a web-based iteration of Plants, Properties, Equipment, a virtual world featuring a an OST by Medical Museum, Chisato Minamimura, VOR, Johanna Hedva, Molly Joyce, and Andy Slater.

Free download PPE for PC at ao-roberts.itch.io/ppe or link in bio.

Thank you to @momusart for organizing ‘To Build and Sustain’ a Convening of 50 publishers and editors from across Canada and the US at @phi.officiel. The event was focused on “cross-border collaboration, shared infrastructures, and sustainable futures for independent critical art writing.”

It was a great experience to learn about these incredible publishing initiatives, brainstorm together, and meet other peers focusing on art publishing. ❣️

Walk with me through my exhibition “What Colour is the Sky?”

This collection was inspired by everyday memories and a children’s book of the same title my mom was working on before she passed away. Her concept was to acknowledge that there are so many other possibilities rather than just the standard answer of blue so I challenged myself in this body of work to use more than just blue in every sky creating spaces for discovery, a place for memories and hopefully a sense of possibility.

A huge thank you to @artplacementgallery for believing in my vision and curating this incredible exhibition. Thanks also to @saskgalleries for featuring this exhibition and to @blackflashmag for showcasing it as well.
