Where your money makes a difference. A beautiful evening of purpose, community and possibility at The Black Funding Network’s Autumn Fundraiser. ❤️ An evening dedicated to supporting three incredibly worthy community organisations, each doing vital work to create better outcomes for Black children, young people and families. ✨ Awaken Genius is working to reduce school exclusions and challenge the damaging school-to-prison pipeline, while supporting Black children and their families facing mental wellbeing challenges. ✨ The Catalyst Collective mentors Black teenage girls, while also recruiting, training and supporting Black professionals to become mentors — creating a powerful cycle of representation, encouragement and opportunity. ✨ Quiet Time Therapy creates space for people who are tired of performing that they are OK. A place to pause, reflect and work towards greater internal alignment, wellbeing and authenticity. Three different organisations. Three different approaches. One shared belief — that our communities deserve investment, support and opportunities to thrive. As a director I was proud to celebrate the people behind this important work and to contribute to their continued journey. And wonderful to meet up again with my friend the MC for the evening Brenda Emmanus OBE. And the work doesn’t stop with the fundraiser. You can continue to make a difference by supporting these organisations, sharing their work, volunteering, mentoring or contributing where you can. https://www.tfaforms.com/5234684 Because when we invest in our communities, we invest in our future. 🖤 #blacklivesmatter #CommunityInvestment #BlackWellbeing #BlackExcellence

A whole-family approach to neurodivergence, trauma, wellbeing and belonging 🔥 Join us on Thursday, 1st October at the Black Funding Network Autumn Funder event and catch the Awaken Genius fire! Hear from Tam Carrington, Senior Playworker at Somerford Grove Adventure Playground, as he shares what makes Awaken Genius so special: replacing standard drop-offs with full, whole-family engagement. With a dedicated team of educational, art, drama, and psychodrama therapists, Awaken Genius provides a playful yet deeply professional space where children can process complex emotions safely. When children see their parents involved, supported, and sharing playful moments alongside them, it reinforces a true sense of safety—showing them the world isn't always heavy or serious. By staying for the whole session, parents and children continuously strengthen their bond in a community rooted in Ubuntu. Come support us in London as we join hands with our community to raise vital funds, break barriers, and continue building spaces where every child’s unique genius can awaken. 📍 When: Thursday, 1st October 2026 | 5:15 PM – 8:30 PM 🎟️ Tickets & Info: Link in bio / Book via Black Funding Network #AwakenGenius #BlackFundingNetwork #TamCarrington #SomerfordGrove #WholeFamilySupport

🔥 SHE ANSWERED THE CALL. 🔥 Sheila White is a Dramatherapist with decades of experience working in education and supporting children and young people. She met Michael online just one day before our Awaken Genius induction. Her curiosity about our approach to early therapeutic intervention and wrap-around support for Black children and families led her to show up the very next day. Seven hours of experiential training. On a Saturday. She still answered the call. ❤️ And she caught the Awaken Genius fire. 🔥 Connection. Laughter. Healing. Movement. Rhythm. Community. Listen to Sheila’s testimony about what makes Awaken Genius so unique — from someone bringing decades of professional experience working with children and young people. Sheila has now joined our movement: creating early therapeutic intervention and healing spaces for Black children and families, helping to build support before mental health challenges reach crisis point. ❤️ If safeguarding vulnerable Black children and families is your calling, come and hear our story. Join our Founder and Volunteer Director, Michael Clarke, and the Awaken Genius community at the Black Funders Network event on Thursday 1 October, London, 5:15–8:30pm, where Michael will share the transformational impact of Awaken Genius in Northumberland Park, Tottenham. Come and hear the story. Come and catch the fire. 🔥 Awaken Genius — connection, healing and early intervention for Black children and families. #AwakenGenius #BlackChildrenMatter #BlackFamiliesMatter #BlackMentalHealth #ChildrensMentalHealth
