This break from protection and biting things has forced us to touch up some foundation skills. Getting my boy loose and taking snacks around decoys has been top of the agenda as a refresher session. As always, Oso rocked it. 🐻💚 #belgianmalinois #malinois #malinoisofinstagram #dogtrainer

“Daiquiri” owned by Mike Landry. Little Daiquiri is small but mighty. She is Mike’s first dog that is bred for bitesport. I can’t wait to see this team as baby Daq continues to grow! Decoy: my beloved husband, Hector Hernandez

Congratulations to all of the @dogtribepsa members. Not only did they help organize and brand the event, but we also earned 5 PDCs and a leg of a PSA1. During the trial, the Dog Tribe tent was cheering heavily for every success, and it’s funny because in PSA, they are “just PDCs.” But in reality, these titles meant a lot to the team because they represented training, dedication, and commitment. Some of these dogs were late-in-life start dogs, and in some situations, they had been deemed unable to do protection sports. In fact, some of them, would not engage in play or bite work 2 years ago. Through training, we got them back into the sport after they had previously been washed. The deal was that if they could commit to a training plan, I would commit to working their dog - and two years later, here we are. The success was bittersweet, since our club all-stars, Brittney and Oso, had to pull mid-PSA1 protection because of a broken canine. This was hard to watch, given the absolute control and great routine they were putting out. I am excited to see @mojo.dog.mom out there again with Oso along with Agave later this season. @dogstrainjen was able to earn a leg of the PSA1, which lifted the team spirit. She showed up with a great obedience routine and showed that our training work paid off. Once believed to not be able to earn a PDC, she now has a leg of the 1s. Very proud of my club and the Dog Tribe team. The trial was very organized, and we will continue to build it for years to come.

Agave decided she enjoys sending to her new bicep target so much that she would like me to restart her decoy neutrality training and convince her that obedience is fun again 🙃🤣 #malinois #belgianmalinois #dogtrainer #girldog
