Hello everyone! Welcome to Lavy’s Instagram.

I rescued her in Lavallette, NJ about a year and a half ago. I named her Lav after the town!

Her Story: When I found her, it was 11:45 at night, she was almost hit by a car. I immediately pulled over to help, thinking she was a little dog. I chased and grabbed her before she ran into the street again. She was so scared, dirty and shaking uncontrollably. Growing up with bunnies, I knew she was someone’s pet. She was either dumped and mistreated or escaped from someone’s house. After I called the police and spoke to them, I asked if I can take her home for the night, since it was almost midnight. They had no idea what to do with her so they agreed. Over the next couple weeks, I put out flyers, called nearby police stations and even animal shelters in my area. No one ended up claiming her after weeks of waiting, which broke my heart. We officially adopted her on February 22, 2019.

Lav is a super happy + healthy bun who loves parsley, bananas, apple crisps, cuddling, digging, binking and flopping. She is known on Bunny Facebook groups as the bun with a heart-shaped dewlap.💛✨
