This is how you finish a Friday! Step ups, hamstring work, work your arms till they fall off and then do 15 second negative push ups because you can❤️
Ultra training at its finest, and a huge shout out to Amy for writing a program only a psycho would love😂

So what gets you through hard times? Do you have people in your life that sit with you, but also know how to raise you up?
This race started out as an idea, and with hard work, sacrifice, and so much running, I’m a week out.
A huge shout out to my trainers and my running coach, thanks for getting me ready! To my friends….your support means everything to me and you inspire me to keep moving. To my family, thanks for putting up with my ideas, and having my back every damn day❤️

In 17 days I will run in my first Ultra marathon in Zion. I thought when I started my training that the battle would be the race. Wrong…the battle was the training. It was showing up even on the days it was hard, it was continuing to push myself and never giving up even when my body was tired and sore.
This race is not about anything more than me. It’s about getting out in nature and finding myself and making peace with every part of me. To those who have encouraged me, believed in me, and trained me for this….thank you! Thank you for testing my limits and then making me push past them. I’m nervous, but you have made me stronger both physically and mentally.
Stay tuned as I get ready for the race of a lifetime❤️

Most men over 40 absolutely hate going to the gym.

A lot of them? It stresses them out.

Here’s the entire experience:
Pack your bag the night before.
Drive 20-30 minutes to the gym.
Find a parking spot.
If you haven’t been in a while, it’s an uncomfortable walk in.
Check in with a 20-year-old.
Meander around looking for equipment.
Workout.
Maybe jump on the treadmill after.
Drive home.

The entire investment? 2-3 hours for a 45-minute workout.

If you don’t do this more than twice a week, you feel guilty. Like a failure.

If you do start going every day? You start to despise it because you know it’s not sustainable.

Most guys over 40 stop going. A week turns into a month. A month turns into three years.

Three years ago I was introduced to Xavier and his team of virtual strength trainers.

My first thought? What a joke.

A coach through a Zoom screen? From my living room? Ridiculous.

I tried one session. 30 minutes. An exercise physiologist pushing me through every exercise.

It was one of the best, if not the best workout of my life.

Intentional.
Precise.
Safe.
Coaching in my ear pushing me through every rep.

Better than any in-person session I’d ever had.

I never left my house.

I knew this was the future of strength training for men over 40.

Comment PRIME30 to try a free 30-minute coached session with Xavier and his team.
