Failure has taught me more about myself than success ever could.

You learn what you can control.
You learn what you can endure.
You learn what still needs work.

Win without arrogance. Lose without excuse. Learn from both. Keep moving.

🥊 Build a stronger, more resilient neck for the ring—or for recovery!

🔥 Wall Isometrics: Press your head against the wall in all directions for 15-30 seconds x 3 rounds.
🔥 Bench Isometrics: Add intensity by doing the same movements lying on a bench for 15 seconds x 3 rounds.

Perfect for boxers looking to absorb impact better and protect against injuries, or anyone recovering from whiplash. These exercises help strengthen and stabilize your neck to keep you moving strong. 💥

Start slow, focus on control, and let the gains come! 💪

21 fights later‼️

It’s hard to put into words what boxing has given me, or where I’d be without it.

The highest highs, the lowest lows, the wins, the losses, the injuries, the setbacks and the comebacks, every part of this journey has shaped the person I am today.

Boxing has given me far more than I could ever give back to it. Memories, friendships, lessons, purpose, and a version of myself I’m proud to keep becoming.

And now, as I enter probably the hardest chapter of my life , learning how to rebuild myself after losing my dad. I know boxing will be there to guide me through it, just as it always has.

I don’t know exactly what the next chapter looks like yet. But if this sport has taught me anything, it’s that some of the most difficult chapters are often the ones that shape us the most.

For now, It’s just one foot in front of the other.

I had one goal in mind this year & that was to not withdraw from nationals. Something that wouldn't have been possible without @blake_physio wisdom 🙏🏾

Initially, i had a different physio who took one look at my MRI and told me i wouldn't be back on a board until 2027. After this & having to explain what bodyboarding was, I decided to get a second opinion from someone who understood the demands bodyboarding places on the body.

I immediately noticed the difference in Blake's assessment. He asked multiple questions and helped me understand what I had done! Tested strength & range of motion before prescribing a program. What's shown in this video is the smallest insight into the exercises I did. Blake constantly challenged me & switched up the movements as I got stronger & the kicker in all this is in my assessment. I never told him the first physio's 2027 prediction. I said Nationals is my goal & we just went to work! 🥹 Grateful for @newwavehealthco & this chapter & and honestly, it doesn't get more full circle than this! Nationals will be held in the town where my passion for bodyboarding all started 💫

Stop loading a squat you can’t move through properly‼️

For the longest time I focused on getting stronger, adding load and progressing my lifts… while giving recovery and mobility basically zero attention.

Turns out, getting stronger through a movement is a lot easier when you actually have the range of motion + control to get into those positions comfortably.

🤓Squat mechanics are a chain reaction. As you descend, the hips and knees flex while the ankles dorsiflex. Limited ankle dorsiflexion can restrict forward tibial translation and change how you achieve squat depth, while limited hip flexion or rotation can restrict available range and increase compensatory pelvic movement (aka butt wink).

Knowing the biomechanics is one thing, having a good coach who can apply that knowledge to your individual movement and training is what really makes the difference. Physio has given me the why, and coaching has helped me turn that into better movement under load.

Side note: butt wink doesn’t automatically mean bad squat form. There isn’t one “perfect” squat. Anatomy, stance, load, mobility, motor control and the depth you’re trying to achieve all influence how your squat looks.

Try these before your next leg day and see how your squat feels!

A little work perk 🤝🏋️‍♀️

I’ve been dealing with some back pain lately and it’s been affecting my workouts, but I loveee my training so I headed in to see @blake_physio from @newwavehealthco for a consult, some manual therapy and a form + technique assessment. We went through some of the exercises I regularly do at the gym, made a few adjustments and looked at ways I can keep progressing without aggravating my back.

Blake also happens to be one of my clients, so we did a little service swap, VA support in exchange for physio.

One of the coolest parts of working with other local businesses. 🙌
