We’re closed for the season, but we’re busy behind the scenes! Making and baking and mixing and fixing is what December’s got going on. If you’re at the Lodge, you can have some tamales for dinner, if you’re too far for a visit, we’ve got piñon brittle ready to ship by mail! We even have nibbles for the doggies. The Elves of Hell’s Backbone Grill send warm wishes your way. P.S. We’re hiring for 2026!

We’re busy in the kitchen this week preparing to welcome friends old and new for our annual Harvest Feast of Gratitude!

Whether dicing these glorious gargantuan beets with @jenner11 or mixing up our famous piñon buttermints with @blake_spalding, every set of hands is busy chopping, stirring, and pouring love into every bite of food we make.

We look forward to welcoming you this week to celebrate community, gratitude, and healthy, delicious food with us! If you can’t be with us in person this time of year, check out our online shop to bring a little bit of @hellsbackbonegrill into your home for the holidays ❤️

Pull up a seat — we’ve got so many delicious things cooking for this final stretch of the season!

Farm squash gnocchi, warm farm cabbage, farmy Caesar, and farm pumpkin bread budding… we promise you’ll leave with a belly full of homegrown goodness.

Can you believe we’ve been making these Blue Ribbon Black-Powder Biscuits every single dinner service for 25 years?! We serve them warm and ready to melt our deliciously earthy whipped sage butter on top 🤤 @Jen won a blue ribbon at the Coconino County Fair for them in the late 90’s, a few years before we

There are some tried and true favorites like these that we can’t ever take off the menu! If you have a hankering for them at home or perhaps want to add them to your Thanksgiving table, you can buy the biscuit mix on our website or find the recipe in our first cookbook!

Autumn’s golden splendor adorns everything … including the dishes coming from our kitchen!

Our menu right now features the late harvest from our farm, which includes a bounty of glorious winter squash and cold hardy greens.

Tyler Warren is one of our new and talented chefs this season, and he has contributed several delightful fall dishes.

We’re in full swoon over his farmy kale caesar with red cabbage, daikon, green apple, and homemade focaccia croutons—and we’re equally wild about his gorgeous Blue Hubbard Squash Gnocchi in brown butter with dried apricots, swiss chard, and sautéed locally grown golden oyster mushrooms, topped with aged Parmigiano-Reggiano.

And among the many dreamy desserts we're currently offering up is our luscious Pumpkin Bread Pudding with white chocolate & almonds served warm with naughty whiskey sauce and just-whipped cream.

Is your mouth watering? Well, guess what: We still have limited availability for our end of November Gratitude Feast Abundance (aka Thanksgiving)!

You can check reservations on our website (link in bio) for seating times and more information.

We are so grateful for all this magnificent abundance, and it brings us great joy to share it with all of you. Come see us in November before we close for the winter months!
