Old Tom Backyard Prelude.

At first, it may seem like it’s about you. But it can never be just about you.

Every Old Tom Backyard story unfolds through the people around us—family, friends, volunteers, crews, fellow runners, and even strangers who happen to be beside us. Every tent, every quiet conversation, every helping hand before the first loop becomes part of the story long before the race begins.

These are a few moments from race day eve, as everyone settles in and prepares for whatever the next hours may bring.

✨2026 BOOKINGS NOW OPEN ✨

As we wrap up 2025 I wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to my friends, family and clients as I jumped into this new adventure over the last year. What started out as an idea that got thrown around a few years ago between my wife and I has become an incredible rhythm of life that has allowed me to cook for so many more people than ever before and stokes the flames of creativity that makes life feel dynamic and colourful. So if you’ve been cooked for, if you’ve helped me with an event over the last year, even if you’ve reached out for a dinner in the coming year, I want to say, emphatically, thank you ❤️

2026 is gonna be a WILD ride. I have some really fun concepts I’ve been working on that I’m looking forward to share, some travel plans and some training opportunities to continue honing the craft and expanding my knowledge base of food and techniques, and a FULLY BOOKED January already! I do have availability in February and March— see below for dates :)

February 7/8
February 28
March 1
March 14/15
March 28/29

With all of that said, I hope 2026 is full of light, gratitude and anticipation— from my family to yours, happy new year!!
